I have been trying to teach myself mandolin for over 2 years. I heard this song on the radio a few weeks ago and was blown away by the mandolin solo. I found your video and you have helped to teach me this song. For the 1st time ever, I have been able to play chords and sing lyrics. I bought Rod's version to hear it, and I must say, I prefer yours! Great Job!!!

hi guys..this is your best song.Raw and heartfelt, the syncopation is quite something. I prefer it to the highly produced original by Rod.. mainly cause as I sing along it doesn't sound so tone deaf... Maybe the vocal harmonies on "Sylvia's Mother" comes close to this though.. Once there were minstrals and tv sets were replaced with evening singalongs. Personally i'm and architect so draw to return to my roots. I must recommend drawing girlfriends nude.. its quite a hoot as well.. :-)
