  • eh?

  • Howdy! Thanks for responding. A long time ago, I once had an mp3 oh and an R2D2, too.

  • Howdy! What is a "spamming bastard"???? Like I said, I am not from around here and that does not sound like a romantic line....know what I mean?......

  • @moonpie04

Hey, I wasn't reffering to you, just someone saying there was an mp3 available of my version of the song, on another site, which it isn't, that's spamming.

They are bastards for doing this. Therefore they are spamming bastards.

  • Howdy! You have done something amazing here for us earthlings. Far out!.....Actually, I am not from around here but......PEACE

  • Howdy! Yall look hungry! Aint got much But what I've got is yours. Ever had a possum samidge with sweet taters? GOOD SHIT!!!!

  • hello

  • I think this cover ROCKS! Excellent vocals and instruments, you guys rocked it "spot on"!

  • Thankyou!

  • No it's fucking not you spamming bastard!

  • I have been trying to teach myself mandolin for over 2 years. I heard this song on the radio a few weeks ago and was blown away by the mandolin solo. I found your video and you have helped to teach me this song. For the 1st time ever, I have been able to play chords and sing lyrics. I bought Rod's version to hear it, and I must say, I prefer yours! Great Job!!!

  • Thanks very much. Glad we could help!

  • hi guys..this is your best song.Raw and heartfelt, the syncopation is quite something. I prefer it to the highly produced original by Rod.. mainly cause as I sing along it doesn't sound so tone deaf... Maybe the vocal harmonies on "Sylvia's Mother" comes close to this though.. Once there were minstrals and tv sets were replaced with evening singalongs. Personally i'm and architect so draw to return to my roots. I must recommend drawing girlfriends nude.. its quite a hoot as well.. :-)

  • Thanks very much. High praise indeed.

  • Great cover..took me back a bit..looks like you had fun and its a 100 times better than the other spoof videos of the same title(mandolin wind)

  • Thanks very much! I didn't know there were spoofs.

  • very nice cover of one of my favorite tunes - you guys rock bigtime

  • Howdy!wild horses couldn't drag me away

  • Brilliant! You were very faithful to the way old Rod sang this difficult masterpiece. Except for the gravely quality, you pulled it off well! Great playing, as well. I enjoyed it immensely. Thanks, man.

  • Thanks a heap. No one does gravel like Rod.

  • I really enjoyed this! Thank you!!!

  • You're welcome. I used to quite like Zebra Danios.

  • I rather like them as well. Especially the long-finned species. I had some that got rather plump and someone told me that I had fat danios. It just stuck in my head...Like it would be a good name for a band...Go figure!

  • Wow! Fantastic!!

  • Thanks muchly!

  • I love it, keep playing and posting

    terry

  • Will do, thanks!

The Welsh&Walsh family were related!!!.Or , they thought , at least, on that day , in the mountains....BYE!

  • Hmmmm, a pattern is forming methinks.

  • Howdy! Jo Welsh was 'a watching PABLO! Know how how I know? 'cause she went......"WHOO WHOO WHOO" ....& I loved her.....very groovy chick as it were and a fan of the band! MY MY! Yes indeed

  • Great job. You've got the parts down. Strong vocals but a little weak in parts. Keep on keepin on...

  • Thanks! Yeah it is what it is.

  • i totally love this song, and above all the way you delivered it. you should be earning big beans singing and playing like this.

  • Thanks very much!

  • its late we had a drink or 2 you guys are great keep it up happy days

  • Will do thanks!

    Cheers!

  • I was looking at the man in the mirror and noticed my face was thin and pale so I went to see the doc. He was doing fine. I am not goodbye.

  • Eww, hope you're ok.

  • ha ha- made me laugh out loud !!!

    john..

  • Great vocals & harmonies! I like your version very much!

  • Thanks!

  • Yes I know that and also know that some guys grow hair differently so that some have none at all and was not making fun of poor Peter

  • Oh ok, thanks for watching though.

  • And, I have always felt that that it was most kind of you you include Grandma in the band. We know she can't play but you can teach her someday because.

  • Ahhhh, I hope you're not referring to Petey, he's a guy.

  • You might have changed a thing or two...."oh my!", she says, "How so?" Lots of smiles around the planet says I.

  • I keep coming back and always have to ask myself, "Do they even know how good they are or what they have done?"Do ya? just in case you don't,thanks.

  • Um thanks. You're welcome.

  • This gets my vote for THE most overtalented and underproduced Youtube video. That chick has an adorable smile when she forces the falsetto

  • Er...thanks. Not everyone can do that note. How Rod ever got there is beyond me.

Yeah we don't have much in the way of production facilities.

  • very well done, I saw a trio in Sydney do this in a bar, and not as well as you three do it here!!! it does seem like a tricky tune to play, how about playing with my friends on a bagpipe version??!!! lol

  • Thanks! I love the bagpipes, but no.

  • I even might join you, ´cos you r fine enuff. I liked a lot. Mentira, I envy you.

  • Er.....Thanks.

  • You know we luv ya

  • Thanks!

  • I have a banjo and wiil be in Liverpool tomorrow! Let's do lunch...as they say.

  • If I lived in Liverpool, I would.

    Thanks for watching.

  • The lovely lady shouldn't have turned her head off camera for the "hoooo hoooo hoooo.......she was spot on! Great job.

  • Yeah, I sure as hell couldn't do it.

  • I have always enjoyed the mandolin, the wind, beautiful gals leading a trio and grey-haired grandmas.....outstanding!

  • that would be a grandpa...He isn't a grandpa yet actually. (peter is very pretty)(I gave him a dodgey haircut too, made him look girly I spose)

    thanks anyway

  • "To Sir with Love"...not that trickey...even grandma can ...solo..LULU...we know you can , pixie......do it....we love you wherever you and Graandma may be however dodgey the planet...LUV US

  • I cant believe you sat so close to the mic mate. Your backup section look very upset. Nice try though!

  • No....they always look like that.

See my response to Mr Guinnss.....

  • we arnt upset, just concentrating on a tricky song, that's all.

  • If you tried to emulate the song, then why are you playing the mandolin in the beginning? And why is the mandolin so front and center. Shoulda moved it away from the mic, due to its volume and prominence in the song. You were right, not the greatest attempt, but fun to do, i am sure...

  • Hmmm ok.

The mic is on the camera so, not much of an option, I could have sat up the back I guess. Mate, sure I emulated the song, I haven't tried to do an exact copy, I don't see how it matters. It was fun to play, and a challenge, which is why we do this kind of thing. Thanks for watching.

  • i said it before, quality music peformed very well indeed. you play with ease and maturity. a difficult song done with talent, respect to you all, and you are not a fat bastard!!

i said it a while ago

    more please

  • Thanks very much for the kind words. We have a few more songs planned.

  • Nice vocal, great job! As previously said, this song is really hard to cover due to the coordination required. But you tackle it really well! Keep on playing!

  • Thanks a heap. Will do.

  • very nice job on this song, i love it! you folks are very talented

  • Thanks very muchly.

  • I'm your biggest fan! I claim it! Great job again!

  • Thanks a heap!

  • Fine Job! I have added this to my favorites......Thank You!

  • You're very welcome. Thanks for watching.

  • .....you've got a lot of guts to tackle this one.....very very tough song to cover ...I really liked it, and your voice was spot on, thanks for not trying to sing it like Rod...nicely done indeed.

  • Thanks very much for the kind words. I did try to emulate the style of the song....not Rods voice though.

  • very well done, geniune talent.

    more please.

  • Thanks heaps!

  • great version of this classic.have recently taken up the mandolin just so I can attempt to play this song.where can I find the tabs for the opening few bars at least?please can anybody out there help?

  • Thanks very much.

The mando part up until the solo is just straight chords. Peter is doing the solo parts on the guitar. I have no Idea what he's playing.

    From what I can see I'm playing A, B an F#m and an E.

I don't write tabs and have no idea where to start.

    Sorry.

  • The intensity of way the lead singer is performing is even better than Rod Stewart's and the guitars are nice as well. Big hug from the Netherlands.

  • Oh. Very big compliment there. Thanks very much.

  • i love love love this video and you all sound great and i know it's not as socially relevant as posting commentary of watching two girls shitting in a cup, but hey, call me old fashioned, i just know what i like. and that's music, even more than commentary on two girls shitting in a cup .
