@theTVremote2697 Its not upside down, it is the traditional, correct way that a china is played though it is the least popular of the two. Because of the way wuhan make there bells there chinas, especially one of this size should ONLY be played in this position. Because of the weight of the cymbal on the bell it would damage the cymbal.
Wuhan Chinas are anywhere between 1/2 to 1/8 the price of comparably sized china cymbals, they sound better, and no one else makes a 27" version. I'm a Paiste guy for the most part. I can't imagine what Paiste would charge for something like a 27" china (I'm guessing something along the lines of a decent used mid-sized sedan) and truth be told, their Chinas don't measure up sound-wise. Even if your Wuhan China breaks, you can have like 8 backup cymbals and still come out ahead.
hello, crashable gong :)

AspiringRocker729 10 months ago 10
@theTVremote2697 It's right side up, but as a drummer it's not preferable to play it this way, it's no good for the edges of the cymbal

@theTVremote2697 Actually thats the origional side up for a china. Just about all drummers turn their chinas up the other way.

these belong in a temple, not on a drum kit, silly. 20" China is the limit, Paiste is the brand.
