Ohhh my gosh Samuel you are the most amazing singer ever, your personality glows, i wish one day you could come to Colombia, you have huge fans here, and we could get master classes from you, that would be such a blessing! there`s no many basses in south america, so for us the bass voice students is really hard, to get a good example. Hugs and thanks for your sharing your talent!
I'm sure Mr. Ramey's neighbors were thinking "He's finally realized how amazing he is and has started singing about it." I wish I could hear him in Edmond, OK again. Mr. Ramey makes me strive to better my voice in my college studies. Maybe I'll become a music major after all.
I always knew that Sam Ramey is a GRANDE but this time he won one hundred points! Thank you all, Mr. Ramey, Lindsey and special thanks to Mark Palenik! You made me laugh for a whole day guys XD
Mark's cousins (my nephews) Chris and Jeff were at a production of Faust in December of '03 at the Lyric in Chicago and hung out by the stage door afterward to get Mr Ramey's signature on the program. They framed it and and gave it to me for Christmas that year. It is still on the wall here in what I call my Men's Crisis Center in the basement of my home.
Samuel Ramey has been a family favorite opera singer for years. That he has the good humor and grace to do this recording is wonderful.
@OperaMadness I know what you mean. When I recorded my version, I thought "gee, that sounds pretty decent", but it's incredible to hear what Samuel Ramey actually sounds like singing it. A truly amazing voice.
@arpeggio1358 I am. But I wonder if Mr. Ramey has found this song useful, as well. For example, when he and his wife have differing ideas about which restaurant to go to, he need only remind her the lyrics to this song.
This was fantastic. It's so nice of Ramey to accept this song, and it's nice song albeit too short.

I thought I'd post my original video as a video response, since it looks like this video might be getting a lot of views.
It was really thrilling to see this. My friends and family were just blown away.

@mpalenik LOL! The song could indeed be a useful tool.

@mpalenik
When I heard the first version of the songs performed by Mark, I thought that in private life, this song can be used by each Ramey.
Lindsey can also sing "My name is Lindsey Ramey” as an argument and not only in choosing a restaurant ;)
Moreover, this song is a treasure that will be inherited by Samuel’s son.
