  • Barney McKenna and Tony McMahon made a TV show called The Green Linnet about Irish music in Europe in 1978. Maybe he was away making that when the rest of them were at Siamsa in 1978? Seems a reasonable guess. I don't know where people track down the archive footage but more power to you all. It's fantastic. Just fantastic.
