Be honest, when's the last time you heard a network say "coverage begins at 8 PM Eastern" and you actually tuned in at 8 PM Eastern because the intro was worth it?
I'm thinking if you're like me it was when NBC still had the NBA---ESPN's pregame is a train wreck and you just want to get to tipoff.
Hey guys, have anyone tried the nba training program for dunking and shooting? Even Kobe, Ray Allen and Gilbert Arenas have used it before. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, take a look at snipurl[dot]com/nbatraining
@RivNoTom i hated when they switched to those god awful ones they have now. There were some really overdone jerseys in the 90's, but the Suns was one of the best. Please beg the management to bring them back.
What about Kevin Johnson he is the most underated player in the NBA of all time. he averaged 20 points and 10 assists for his career the only player to ever do that. That suns would have never been the team they were without KJ.
In nine seasons as a starter from 1989-1997, K.J. averaged 19.8 points, 10.0 assists, and a .497 field goal percentage. In the history of the NBA, the only other players with that sort of statistical combination over that long a time period are Magic Johnson and Oscar Robertson.
I remember watching that series as a kid in my parents bedroom. I was on the edge of my set each game, because I wanted the threepeat for the Bulls, and at times it looked like the Suns were going to do it. They were so close, it was a game matchup.
I was four years old, when that happened...Watching the game with my brother and pops in the summer of '93 on WITN-7 (NBC, New Bern/Greenville/Morehead City)...Ahhh!!!! Good memories of my fam watching the NBA on NBC!!!!
I fucking love the suns!

Seriously.. all this other crap they do... esp the embellished sob back stories is a bit too much... this is when they focused on the battle at hand!

@blastoad ... yes. Playing with an undiagnosed hernia for four years (including during this series) and eventually two hernias didn't help matters.

Oh how I remember these days. Bob Costas, Marv Albert, that memorable theme.
I swear Albert made these games larger than life. I can still remember his classic lines with that New York accent. "ARMSTRONG WITH THE SHOT... YES!!

he didn't average 20 points and 10 assists. please look up the stats first before you come on youtube and embarrass yourself.

Hey, the best finals for MJ, the best song of Bon Jovi.

Yeah. I think MJ was at his peak at this point...both young and experienced.
Think he averaged 44 points a game in these finals...yikes.
