where I live, sadly some celebrities use stronger stuff to relieve their stress. I smoke too, so for me it's not so much of a problem. I'm pretty sure they know what they are doing.

But in the craziness and lack of control an idol under management has, smoking can be one of the few things they CAN control and it becomes addictive. Or, they've already had the habit since before debut; smoking is very normal in Korea, especially for males. And yes, this is Jae. Sasaeng fans stalk him everywhere.

Don't hate smokers, they know it's bad for them, and most of them probably wish they had never started. I don't smoke, and I will probably never try. Still, I see no reason to hate those who do.
Just think about all the pressure, long schedules, barely any rest ever, no privacy at all, allways fans wherever you go, high expectations, etc...its no wonder any of them turn to smoking for some relief. Its not healthy for him no, but neither is the constant stress and stalking fans (they can deadly :P)
Sorry but I'm gonna speak my mind here. I will never in my entire lifetime and even after I'm dead will understand why some people don't care if they smoke. Yes, yes smoking can damage their voice but NOT only that smoking could eventually KILL them. Many people have lost their loves to this habit, and in fact I wish smoking never even existed. @Korihanasauku, Also you forgot that people lose their own unique sweet scent (hair, skin, clothes) and their sweet taste (how their mouths taste, quite honestly) and in how they experience the workd around them, their sense of taste and sense of smell. Jae's new year resolution for both 2008 and 2009 was to give up smoking (idk whether he's already done that or not). @kodochasanastage Most smokers know exactly how bad smoking is for their health, and would stop if they could, but it's very addicting. Don't hate smokers, they know it's bad for them, and most of them probably wish they had never started. I don't smoke, and I will probably never try. Still, I see no reason to hate those who do.

Just think about all the pressure, long schedules, barely any rest ever, no privacy at all, allways fans wherever you go, high expectations, etc...its no wonder any of them turn to smoking for some relief. Its not healthy for him no, but neither is the constant stress and stalking fans (they can deadly :P)

Sorry but I'm gonna speak my mind here. I will never in my entire lifetime and even after I'm dead will understand why some people don't care if they smoke. Yes, yes smoking can damage their voice but NOT only that smoking could eventually KILL them. Many people have lost their loves to this habit, and in fact I wish smoking never even existed. Sorry but I want DBSK to be in here in the future and I do wish I could tell them personally to stop. I wish no one smoked, what a terrible invention.

@Korihanasauku, Also you forgot that people lose their own unique sweet scent (hair, skin, clothes) and their sweet taste (how their mouths taste, quite honestly) and in how they experience the workd around them, their sense of taste and sense of smell. Sexy-looking? Sure, it can be, if it's occasional. But an addicting and foul-smelling habit it is in addition to what you write above. Jaejoong, hope you only indulge in it on occasions.

@Korihanasauku somehow I agree with you, it's like the dumbest habit one can turn to to release stress to be honest but it's their choice. Hopefully he'll find enough ambition to drop it.
No matter how much I love this guy I do hate it when he's ruining himself: smoking, drinking, piercings, tattoos....to be honest I'm a fan but I am not inclined to take these as good examples and to do the same. All these things are marks that he turned to stuff like these as some sort of therapy.

Jae's new year resolution for both 2008 and 2009 was to give up smoking (idk whether he's already done that or not). Yunho already quit a looong time ago. and CM and Junsu were never knowned to smoke at all.

I agree with some people, it doesn't look like Jaejoong, but even if it is, the truth is, he use to smoke.
So did Yoochun. But they both stopped a LONG time ago... But now... Yunho smokes and apparently Changmin does too.
Yunho, I'm 100% certain, but lets hope he stopped since those pictures were from July or something... Let's just hope he doesn't do that anymore...
Changmin, I haven't seen pictures of him smoking... But it seems to be true.

@berryzkoubou345 I don't think he has. This was during their Mirotic days and i read somewhere on LJ that a Finnish fan saw him holding his pack of cigarettes. It's so sad that Jaejoong would choose to go down this path... Either way, I love him as well as other DBSK members and I hope they will never smoke again!
