Nein, alle Wii Funktionen werden im Gamecube Mode abgeschaltet. Deswegen kann man auch nicht wieder ins Wii menü zurück, sondern muss die Konsole erst ausschalten.
Es funktioniert NUR Hardware die an den Cube Controlelranschlüssen steckt, oder in den Memorycard Slots (nicht SD.Karten Slot).
Meist ist es so (z.B. bei Mario Kart und Super Smash Bros.) das man mit dem Controller mit dem man das Spiel startet (also die Einstellungen vornimmt im Spiel) Player-1 ist.

Das ist Spiel abhängig.
