Can't Wait to ride my phazer now it was just 4.2k with 163 kms on it and in mint condition. Its not a long track tho but should still be amazingly fun.

Of course an RMK Shift 600 is faster, son. 'Cause for one... it's a cleanfire EFI twin 2-stroke with 120 ponies on tap vs 80 on the 500 Yami. I have a '09 RMK 700 155" and yeah it's got 65 more horses under the hood than the Phazer but my GFs little Phazer MTX is SO much more fun, less tiring to ride, hell of a lot easier to flick, and gets probably twice the miles per tank. Plus the Phazer MTX is only 80 hp but it has a shit ton of bottom end torque, It pulls like a 600 or 700 from 0-50.

@64NorthEntertainment first of all polaris shift is an iq 600 shift not rmk shift and polaris has the lowest horsepower ratings out of all the snomobile companies

The phazer is a great sled. My wife and I both own one. This is a sled for those who just want to get out on the snow for a truly fun time without flexing you know what. We don't care about crossing a lake at 300mph, climbing some mountain at the speed of light or or blasting through 800' of powder. We recognize the phazer does have limitations....but for a day of pure casual riding the Phazer is a VERY tough act to follow. We did thicken up the seat padding to help with the longer rides.

@QuadFreak10 They're decent power wise, remember they're only 500's, they can climb okay, but aren't meant for it. One thing I noticed with mine and others as well was they trench VERY easy

i rode one for the first time the other day. it was an 07 with a fuel controller and a slip on exhaust. it felt like it had plenty of torque, and it was very nimble. but overall, i didn't think that it was that powerful. it is a very fun sled, and i would love to own a turbo'd one someday haha

I'll admit...not a sled for everyone, but I very much love mine. I bought a left over '08 RTX for $6700 cdn. Good bang for buck! I can easily achieve 20mpg (cdn gallon) If I behave..lol. and it doesn't need a top end every 2500 miles. But I prefer value,reliability, and longevity over more performance oriented sleds. Polaris and ski-doo has some good entry level value too. I just prefer the suspension of the RTX for playing in the ugly stuff.

@Taimlar - acually I nocked one more down in the gear ration for some extra performance while climbing since it felt so weak while I had to flip it or boondock it at high alltitude. Sorry for my bad language but im a Sweede so got a bit more to learn :P
