Short version:

Kaguya is an immortal who gained her immortality by drinking the Hourai Elixer. She also had a lot of suitors because of her beauty, and she sent anyone seeking her hand in marriage on a quest, her "5 Impossible Tasks", to acquire 5 items...that she already had hidden in her room. Lot of men spent their lives looking elsewhere, one of them Mokou's father. She too drank the elixer, and those two immortals have been killing each other for the past 1,300 years.

You can see parts of characters over to the left. The letters are their first initials.

Yuyuko, Ran, Shieiki, Mokou, Patchouli, Tenshi. The last two I can't make out. The letter "K" could be Keine but it really doesn't look like her dress. The last letter is actually a "C" but all I can see of a character looks like Reimu.
