  • Is the mixer connected via usb to the PC?

  • you need a sound card or not for conect to icdx??? or jus the usb caBLES

  • only usb cable which u get for free with iCDX

  • @djplazuelosmixx

You do not necessarily need a soundcard. It would be ideal though... For everyone asking, the ICDX's connect to the Laptop via USB. They will act as controllers only if set to USB-HID.

The sound goes from the Laptop to an external soundcard like a maya 44. Then it goes to your mixer. Then to your PA speaker setup. Use your headphones connected to the mixer to CUE.

There are setting in VDJ you will have to adjust, nothing major. This is how setup works..

  • thats a numark 5000fx mixer, how are you using the mixer with the decks and the laptop? just use the usb and the rca cables?

  • great job!!

  • do you hook up both icdxs to the computer via usbs, then link them to the mixer with rca cables?

  • is it using the pc's sound card?

Or is the sound via USB out of the ICDX?

et vire moi ton pc ;)

  • i wanna get dat~!~!~! yu rich ass~!

  • my opinion is that these is a good technology for future mobile dj's, who wants to be carring all the heavy records or cd's on a babies birthday or a bautism or simply a weekend party, a think this setup is perfect, if you what to show off your skills in dj, then yeahh records are the ones, only because he uses this gear doesnt mean he can't mix. its just having an assistant dj who does the beatmatching and cue points. great demonstration man. keep it up

  • can anyone tell me is this a good stand alone unit, i mean for CD-players ?? many complain from numark laser and it don't play scatched CD's and it vibrate when u insert DVD or MP3 CD and if u shake the device it break the sound can u give me more info about that because i always use stand alone units without cotrol from the pc soo it's much important to me :) cheers....

  • Hey leave the dude alone hes just putting a demo up! the software is virtual DJ so you can use these to control virtual DJ...pretty cool!

  • i think he's doing a good job. how expensive are these? they look sooo nice rrrr...wots he got on the PC??

  • The software is called Virtual DJ. It also goes under the name "Numark CUE", but that's just virtual DJ, but under the Numark brand name. The iCDXs are about 500-600 a piece here in canada (actually i've been looking at US sites, so not in canada).

  • it makes all the work so easy.. it prolly beatmatches and sets up the cue points and the tempo.. u have to do nothing !!!

  • Oh come on ! All that technology and thats the best you can come up with?!? Your basically pressing the play button when it comes up to the cue point. Really lazy, clueless, out of time, shoddy levels, crap use of effects, dull mixing etc etc . Why did you other? Come back with something better, as like the other posting, I'm interested in getting the ICDX. Guess I'm just pissed you have them and I don't :-P

  • No need to be an ass dude. You think you can do better, post a response to the video. Until then STFU!

  • Hey looks like you're the only one with these and a camera. Can you show us how the scratching is? I'm thinking of purchasing some. Thanks a million.
