  • Join my Facebook group "DJ Frank Stallone". I'll be posting all my mixes and videos, new and old, which can be downloaded!!!

  • could you tell me , how you mix , in tracks, do u use eq ,etc thanks

  • I mostly use Virtual DJ. They have built-in effects and you can pre-load samples.

  • thanks frank, so its easy to mix using virtual ?

cos that mix your done was spot on

  • there's many programs that you can use. You can download a demo of almost any of them. The older songs are very difficult to mix because there was a human drummer and the beats aren't perfectly timed or spaced.

  • yeah, i dj ,love the 80's soul/disco, i mix them on cdjs, your right, very hard to mix 80's tunes, house /garage is so easy to mix , programmed music

  • @DJFrankStallone I use Mix Miester, it has an inbuilt songslicer you can use to manually tweak bars placement, not a bad substiture for a spindle tweak :D

  • @DJFrankStallone - so true about the beats ... I'm a former club DJ from the mid 70's to early 80's and we did have our challenges ... but we also had the BEST DANCE MUSIC!

  • @DJFrankStallone

    Excellent

  • as good as larry levan

  • wow dj frank.. u are a genius on the turn tables!

  • man those mixes awesome, how can i get them

  • Dam Cuz, You hit them in the head with this one.

  • You bette work out. This is the bomb. I can not stop dancing and going back down memory lane remembering people and places I was when these songs came out. Thanks for the post.

  • whats the name of the song who starts singing in the begining of the this mix like goes "baby we can do it take the time do it right"

  • S.O.S. Band - Take Your Time(Do It Right)

  • Take Your Time by The SOS Band =)

  • I was 15 when the S.O.S Band came out with this.Where is Bob Butler???????

  • I had a great collection of records from this era that lost in various changes of residence and 1 hurricane. Fabulous mix. I am very interested in purchasing high quality digital audio CD's or downloads of this music DJ Frank not sure how to properly contact you.... Keep it going

  • Okay, I have a question: that breakbeat drum track that opens this video... I hear it often in the breakbeat / house music I have. Where did it originate from? Hearing that dr um track on that opening song was a treat!

  • That is a great question. It's Apache by the Incredible Bongo Band from the early 70s. It's been sampled many times. Most people know the Grand Master Flash "Apache". I've heard the original at sports arenas and it was also used in a TV car commercial.

  • I found the tune on youtube and favorited it. Thanks for id'ing the tune, Frank! :)

  • Awsesome job Frank- great songs!

  • Frankie Stallone n 1

  • Another fantastic mix, T/u DJ Frank.
