Even though Barry most likely didn't engage in the deal making for his seat, why the lies about even meeting with Blagojevich?

Just caught a news report this morning that he's been asked to step down or face impeachment. Frankly, I don't think that's harsh enough punishment.
I've long since given up believing that any politician isn't corrupt in some way. It's pessimistic, yes, but at least they can't disappoint me again.

The two party system is here to stay, like it or not. Come and talk to me when you get the constitution amended and there is a possibility for a third party candidate.
Being a centrist isn't about constantly trying to find ways to tear down the party in office. It's about being pragmatic and trying to make the best of less than ideal situations.
Unfortunately that wasn't possible last time around, but I am more hopeful this time. Obviously YMMV.

I'm always a person who reminds people of innocent until proven guilty, which takes a trial. I try my best to leave room for doubt. In fact, I'm probably the only person I know who isn't 100% convinced OJ did it lol. On the other hand, when you have solid things like DNA, fingerprints, etc. and in THIS case, recordings of the man committing the crime, that's all the trial I need to know who did what. This man's crimes were recorded - there's no guess work here.

Man if only the rest of the country new Illinois' track record with politicians, Obama wouldn't have been elected. Unless it was the whole black guy thing that got him elected. Who knows?

i think its the last five gov's who were indicted for something or another. the media knew, they ignored it.
