  • Best one... google that... Radiator/Fans/Shroud Assembly Kit, 3x120mm, Aluminum [no nozzles]

  • How would you power those fans on top of the case there's not any opening for them to get into the case :L

  • @zorzeh water cooling tubes past trouhg, you can put them there in the case

  • where can i buy the water cooling parts i cant find any on newegg

  • @mike123asd Errr... may be @ DazMode PC Watercooling Store?

  • @mike123asd Best suggest to go there... frozencpu site

  • @mike123asd xspc.com

  • are those 4000 rpm fans

  • @lethalhamer 1800rpm

  • daz you need a UK store dude :)

  • Put the Radiator at the Top and the Coolers inside + at the top of the radiator. Don't put the radiator inside the Case ;)

  • Why don't you cut the fan wires, lengthen them, then rewire them inside the case?

  • Hey,

I am currently doing a water cooling build with my 800d and have got me some scythe ultra kaze's fans the 38mm think ones. But the included screws that came with the RAD are not big enough to mount them. Where would I be able to get some screws that would fit?

    Thanks

  • Great videos!

  • Hi!

How is the Corsair Obsidian 800D? I was thinking of getting either this, or the Cooler Master HAF X. It seems that the HAF X has all of the features but with better cooling and is around £/$ 50 cheaper.

I'm pretty sure it will be loader than this but I don't know.

    Would you recommend this?

    Thanks in advance!

  • @TheWoWRevelation For watercooling D800 is very easy to work with without modification. HAFX Will be more difficult to watercool. Also D800 looks much better then my HAF932.

  • @DazMode

Such an awesome vid, since I am currently looking at all component to build my own rig I will definetly be considering this as a tutorial

  • @DazMode I heard that this case has bad stock cooling, will i be able to run an sc evga 570,8gb of ram, and a phenom 980 comfortably of will i have to install better fans.

  • @TheWoWRevelation DazMode is right. However, I own the Haf X with watercooling. And believe me, I would love the 800D. Though Im not sure about saying that the Hafx is hard to watercool without modification. I have done nothing to it, and it has a very thick XSPC 360 Rad sitting comfortable up top, and I have room other areas for other RADS if Id like. The 800D has a ton of space, but he already has said you have to remove the drive bays to get any more space for rads etc :p

  • @TheWoWRevelation Ps. Severe lack of air input areas mean you are limited to where you can put a second rad etc. Sure, you can put it in the bottom, or one on the exhaust going out back. but I wouldnt want the only source of air coming into the case to have a rad on it. Dont get me wrong, i still want this case, but I cant see a way around all these issues. Im looking at my haf x as I type...amazing air circulation, not a single problem with heat build up

  • @TheWoWRevelation If air cooling is your thing the haf x blows this case away but watercooling is your thing this is the way to go!

  • What radiator is that? The packaging looks NOICE.

  • I got this case was going to do a custom paint job and put a 420 in the top like Bill Owen did for Hardware Cunks, have custom grills cut for it. Talked to someone and he said walk away from this case as its really hard to to do with WC. So I am choosing another case and starting over. Good Luck!!!

  • Precisely what I wondered with my 800D - Why do they not have an opening on the top for the fans' power to go through?

  • Hey Daz, check out the last build from "Zoop425"

  • Nice build. sub'd cause I'll be using this case aswell soon.

I wanted to ask though if you would consider a second loop with a 240 rad mounted in the bottom after taking the drive bay out. I ask this cause serial pumps usually doesn't help flow but it does increase pressure.

  • @vearheart42 I won't place second radiator as triple will be sufficient for this build. I also plan to use case "as is".

  • Hey there Daz, very interested in seeing how your build turns out. I did my first WC set up a few months ago in the 800D using the Feser X-360. Like you I ran into difficullties deciding on fan/rad placement. I opted to mount the rad at the top internally with 3 x 2,000 rpm Scythe Ultra Kazes at the bottom of the rad in a push config. Been thinking about changing it around ever since.

    Looking forward to more updates:)

  • Hey bro, to me that looks good, I am also doing a WC'ed 800 build over the next few weeks, I may borrow your idea of doing a push/pull configuration, if you don't mind.

This is all contingent on whether the client likes it or not.

    Cheers

    LazyMan :-)

  • @WestCoastMods

Hey, all good people are gathering here! Need to check your page asap. :)

Absolutely no problem to borrow anything you like. We will see how it looks fully assembled... Nice fans with good grills shoudl look sleek.

  • @WestCoastMods

:P can't wait to see your magic tricks on the 800D.

If its something ill be thinking before i go to sleep, i might copy paste it too :D

  • i would just stick with mounting the radiator under the top panel with some good 120 x 25mm for a nice clean look. maybe the gentle typhoons. they are expensive though

  • @brandonsexywhitaker Those Tieberwerk fans cost $35 a piece, GT-15's are cheap in comparison.

  • @vearheart42

    lol good point

  • Nice to see this build already coming along Daz. But I would just keep the push san aces or get those gelids in with a 38mm shroud internally.

The external fan mounting looks a bit awkward.

  • @Murmedon Can't do fans internally because I plan to put MOSTA rad inside later. Mosta will be about 10-12cm high and I may have no space even for 25mm fans.

I also may put some sound activated LED into Triebwerks for fan...

  • @DazMode

If you can get some measurements, maybe you could fit the monsta on the bottom compartment of the case sideways. Ballzor on RRTech is thinking about doing a somewhat similar build, and it looks like it could work.

Oh yeah, this is space pope from RRTech :D

  • @Murmedon LOL great to see you here! Doesn't look it will fit sideways, unless there will be 120mm version of MONSTA. I also really like separate chamber for power supply, I don't plan any WC parts in lower level at the moment.

  • hmm I don't think any fans look good mounted on the outside of the case... I'd rather keep the radiator and the fans internally... although the triebwerks are really good looking fans... could use some LEDs :))

  • They need to make the Triebwerks without that clear plastic... use something DARK

  • @scottycatman I though that too, but transparent with black posts looks surprisingly good... Check again as HD quality become available.

  • @DazMode

Well, at least tint the acrylic darker.

  • justfinished my wc in my antec 300 with a 280 on top and 120 in the back i drilled holes for the tubing so the rad can face right in the case it was hard but i managed it

i watched all ur movies in advance and it really helped me thx

  • @fighter199212 This is good way to do that. For this build I plan to stay on "case as is" basis as long as I can.

I might drill hole for fans cables if there no other choice...

  • I'm doing a WC build with the 700D :D
