the clio will have better inline speed than the saxo but in the corners i think the saxo has more of a edge, i just bought a clio 172 cup :D dont get it for a few weeks though :(
Is your cup standard? Whats the whurring sound that increases with speed? Almost sounds like a bearing has gone!... do you have a modded gearbox or somthing?

your clio smoked the CRX very easy! saxo was as good as your clio...i own a clio 1.4 16v 98hp..it's handling is great

Would be close but the 172 would just edge it.

172 = 6.9 seconds
Saxo = 8.4 seconds

Book figure for the Saxo is 7.4 not 8.4.
The 106 GTI was timed at 8.4 so that it was classed as insurance grp 13 and not 14 as the Saxo is.
Both the 106 GTI & Saxo VTS have the same performance.... average of 7.4 0-60.

That clio sticks to the corners well, I have a WRX but never taken it to a track day.

Car is pretty much standard but the drone noise is the soft track tyres and the beep is an 'Overspeed' warning on my Origin b2
