I think that it need a chip, but...if this is true, Nokia should be releasing all their N97 with it and release multitouch software after the release (for no delating date)
only if nokia gains experience in touch screen phones, they will be able to make a good phone that has touch screen:) N5800 is the first step, the next one, we will see.
finally multitouch with resistive screens.. i hate capacitive cuz only input is finger....

No multitouch on N97, sorry.
(S60 fifth edition does not support multitouch.)
Multitouch on future Nokia devices? Probably.. in the next 100 years....
