@mastermega8 I agree, they went back to their roots with more orchestration and less tribal style, which is what they did in Tri. The MHF3 soundtrack takes a heavier approach to Monster Hunters usually softer or more loose style. If you haven't heard it yet, listen to the MHF3 aka Monster Hunter Portable 3rd's version of the MH Theme. It's the best one to date.

I played the every single monster hunter on psp jap and eng (i still have them all in my psp) but damn the music just got better and better, but still my fav was the original Monster Hunter theme :)) It existed since monster hunter was made and now it's even better in mhp3rd

Woohoo!! This theme is incredibly awesome. MHP3rd has really good music. I think the best ones are this, the Mountain Stream battle music and Amatsu part 2.

BTW, they say Keiki Kobayashi (AC5 soundtrack) co-starred in some of these themes. I don't know if it's true, but seeing as Ace Combat always got awesome music, i would say it's very possible.

Holy shit MHP3's soundtrack is far better than Tri's.

I really wish Cacpom continues releasing games for Wii, and hopefully better games because P3 was a lot better than Tri which pisses me off. It should be the other way around: Tri >/= MHP3

Tri was a new test for the MH series. And it was a success. I enjoyed the water battles.

I hope MH3G or MH4 has underwater gameplay and all the weapons. I liked it alot.

@o3killu I say that because Tri was my first MH game ever and I loved it so much. The underwater mechanics pissed me off at the beginning but nowadays I can beat Lagiacrus without dropping a sweat! xD

MH3 was like the revival of the console series.

but now with p3 and a psp..its fun as hell!!

@o3killu Problem is, if there is underwater combat, some weapons cannot exist in the game, or at least it'd be a lot of work because they'd have to do a lot more animations for the weapons, underwater and on land, and plausible UW combos. I guess that's one of the reasons Tri's variety of weapons was nerfed. How would you shoot an arrow with your bow... underwater?

@o3killu Good point; however, I'd thought about that already. MH needs to have at least one long-range weapon to add variety to gameplay. Which seems more likely to be able to shoot underwater: a fantasy bowgun which no one knows how it works on the inside, or a simple bow which shoots arrows? They probably just decided to add the "more likely" weapon and leave the "utterly impossible" one behind. This is all just guessing, but I dont think we'll be getting bows AND uw battles in a same MH game.

I found my first Jinouga really easy. It mostly involved rolling all over the place and slashing the crap out of him at any opening, very little strategy required.

That being said, I haven't unlocked high rank yet, and that's usually where I have to stop doing that.
