  • JOHNNY TILLOTSON = LEGEND OF THE 1960s = GREAT SINGER

  • Hoor je tegenwoordig niet meer

  • Schitterend! Jeugdsentiment. vriendje Henk uit Utrecht'

  • mannnnnnnn, why don't we make music like this anymore?

  • Just heard this on Sonic so I went to Utube, listened to it with

headphones on. MY GOD!!! What a Sound! I hear this song,

I'm Taken Away to My Life with my Boyfriend, Parents,

Loved Ones, They're All Gone Now.

  • cette chanson me rappelle Suzanne C. de st leonard

Une belle periode de ma vie !!

  • 10/31/11 ~ AHHHHHH YES, THE HIGH SCHOOL YEARS ~ I REMEMBER ~ LES ~ COLLINGSWOOD, NJ ~

  • First time I heard this song I was blown away! Just a great and different type of song. The arrangement is superb and Johnny has the perfect voice for this.

  • ah summer of 61 and one of his best.

  • heel mooi lied, nooit gehoord van een andere zanger en dat is maar goed ook want

deze vertolking is gewoon de allerbeste, hulde aan johnny tillotson !!!!!!

  • jmcraven1 - u nailed it! they are all unique!

  • OMG! I had almost forgotten about this one! A classic!

  • this is TRUE vintage pop and it doesnt get much better

  • yessssss, sounds like this......

  • True True Happiness, from summer 1959 was Tillotson's first single to make the charts as far as I know. I always thought that he was an American artist. Thank You for the post.

  • @DinoTuned1 He IS American, from Florida, in fact.

I just realized this song sounds a lot like "Lonely Boy" by Paul Anka...

  • @shmuli9 Thanks for jolting the memory. Knew this song sounded like another I'd heard but couldn't remember which one. Both great songs.

  • Ever hear a song and it starts reminding you of another one? You turn the speakers down to hear that other song in your head. And then it hit you! Anyways this song sound a lot like the Patsy Cline song "She's Got You" I only came to this song because I wanted to hear another song by johnny tillotson other than Poetry Emothion, whish ia all I know by him. I know nothing about this song and its history or if others have in the past said it sounds like "she's Got You"

  • @AngelaRed

JT was about the only thing I liked about the "British Invasion"; I love 50's & 60's stuff but I never like those 4 mop-heads that everyone else worshipped so much. Johnny does a great job!

  • @SRPREX Johnny Tillotson...the British Invasion?

    Uh, what?!

  • @stu63 Excuse me for my little faux pas! I had read on some blog about that w/o checking it out. I like JT even more now! Thanx

  • @AngelaRed you're rite.but this is just a stand alone great tune."i know that i must go through all my life without you"

  • It was the time singers had a unique type of voice and...also talent! This is a great classic and timeless. 1000 stars for JT from JT

  • It's good to hear these JT songs again. He has a unique sound similar to Roy Orbison or Gene Pitney, (not that he sounds like them), I was probably around 10 or 12 years old when this song came out. Thanks for the Post.
