First time I heard this song I was blown away! Just a great and different type of song. The arrangement is superb and Johnny has the perfect voice for this.
True True Happiness, from summer 1959 was Tillotson's first single to make the charts as far as I know. I always thought that he was an American artist. Thank You for the post.
Ever hear a song and it starts reminding you of another one? You turn the speakers down to hear that other song in your head. And then it hit you! Anyways this song sound a lot like the Patsy Cline song "She's Got You" I only came to this song because I wanted to hear another song by johnny tillotson other than Poetry Emothion, whish ia all I know by him. I know nothing about this song and its history or if others have in the past said it sounds like "she's Got You"
JT was about the only thing I liked about the "British Invasion"; I love 50's & 60's stuff but I never like those 4 mop-heads that everyone else worshipped so much. Johnny does a great job!
It's good to hear these JT songs again. He has a unique sound similar to Roy Orbison or Gene Pitney, (not that he sounds like them), I was probably around 10 or 12 years old when this song came out. Thanks for the Post.

@DinoTuned1 He IS American, from Florida, in fact.
I just realized this song sounds a lot like "Lonely Boy" by Paul Anka...
