I love this version! kd lang has one of the best voices in the world and I feel proud to call her a fellow Canadian. I like Sheryl Crow but her Bond song sucked royally. It was a travesty not to use kd lang's version. Not only would it have skyrocketed her to global recognition, it would've put James Bond on the Canadian map. Damn you, EON Productions!!! This is so much better than the Sheryl Crow song. KD's voice sounds so much better and the song is more Bond sounding. I think whoever decided to put KD's song at the end instead of the beginning is an idiot. This would be the perfect opening song for this film.

MGM or whoever they're run by now should correct this heinous mistake by allowing us to programme the blu ray to play K D Lang's superior song over the credits. The film will be far classier this way.

I am a massive Sheryl Crow fan, bought all her albums etc dvds, etc, however, KD Lang's performance of Surrender really should have been the opening titlesong, not the end. Her voice suits bond perfectly, and I found it a real shame it was slapped on the ending credits, yes I think they got the songs the wrong way round.
Is there any half-way credible reason for this not having been the title song instead of Sheryl Crow's? The lyrics match the movie & k.d. lang can sing without struggling to reach certain notes. It's not that Ms. Crow's song is horrendous; it's just that the producers had this, and picked that? Why? Because k.d. lang is a vegan & a lesbian, & that's not the image they wanted? If that's why, then that's just sad. I

I've just shown this video to a few friends on Facebook who love kd lang, along with another of her classics which hardly ever get a play on the radio, Barefoot, from the 1991 movie Salmonberries. The movies was okay and not great, but the song is amazing.
Why the fuck didn't they use this as the main theme as opposed to the crappy one Sheryl Crow sang? If they'd used this it would've given this movie a better reputation, especially in Canada since KD Lang's one of us Canadians :)
