@LovelyLilDevilWings This an't no nasty Durian/cheese/vomit fruit whatever. Jackfruit is lovely. If I remember correctly it had to be cured with salt before being eaten. I mean I've only eaten it once, in 1982 in Jamaica, and it was so nice.

@kidboygator My experience said otherwise. I used to own a land with several jackfruit trees in it. What I noticed is, no matter how ripe the fruits are, they still produce whitish sap. All I could do to alleviate the sticky situation when cutting is, dip the knife in cooking oil before cutting. As a side note, these fruits can grow as big as size of average pillow and single tree can bear as many as 15~20. I ended up giving away most of them.

No silly willy, Your thinking about that stinking fruit called a Durian. This is a Jackfruit. One of the sweetest fruits in the world. the sugar content is over 300% and it smells like candy.

The Durian is the total opposite. It smells like feces. But they both LOOK the same.

The Jackfruit flavor is what Juicy Fruit Gum was modeled after. Absolutely divine. Make sure you get a big ripe one with rounded outer rind. Put oil on your hands and the knife when cutting to keep the pulp from sticking to you.
