I don't think so - but I suspect that it may be recorded before too long, as there is increasing interest in his larger works, and the symphonies have been broadcast by the BBC.
Thank you for these fine pieces of Cyril Scott. I have seen his name and music for years, but never played any of his works. Because of your postings, I have recently purchased some of his piano pieces and they are quite lovely.
I envy you the chance to hear The Alchemist. I have seen the score but never had the chance to play any of it through. I keep hoping that with the renewed interest in his oeuvre, this will finally be properly mounted and recorded.
That was very touching. Amazing that Scott started out as an Impressionist and ended up a full-blown Romantic. I would love to have this piece - and others like it - on a CD. Thank you!
I'm sure it has been recorded. I believe that Dutton (a UK label) are recording all Scott's piano works. I would say that he ended up a modernist rather than a Romantic. If you have the chance you should see if you can get to hear any of his opera 'The Alchemist'.
I have his "Early One Morning" for Piano and Orchestra - sort of English pastoral school - on LP - as well as the Piano Concertos 1 & 2. Concerto #1 is kind of modern, #2 is much more so.
Hello, very nice playing.
I`ve got add a videoanswer with Scott`s famous Lotus Land. I hope you like it.

Hiya, I am really interested in hearing as much Cyril Scott as I can. Does anyone know if Hymn of Unity 1947 was ever recorded?

Very pretty work--very nice legato phrasing.

I have only heard excerpts (BBC studio recordings), but was most impressed.
