@TheMemento99 It was when Our Humble Narrator was being insulted and slapped and pushed and having his foot stomped on by that nasty veck - to see whether he would react or to see if the treatment had 'cured' him
@chrisnasif wow thanks for ruining the imagery when i listen to this song! just like when family guy ruined surfin' bird. makes me think of peter griffin everytime i hear it.
@ViewtifulRaoul Its after Alex is "treated" and they bring the guy out to beat him up. Haha I love this music, cause its so unsettling when put into that scene.
@birbameccanica It's actually when Alex is on the stage at the end of the Ludovico treatment (when the guy beats him up and the topless girl shows up.) The music that plays when he enters the record store is a moog synthesized version of Beethoven's ninth symphony by the film's soundtrack composer Wendy Carlos, then know as Walter Carlos. Hope this helps.
Hi all, if you see thhe original scene, in the movie, Clotwork Orange, let me know. Its impressive, ultraviolence. The music sounds as a medieval song, of course, Its perfect, fits and fills the scene, but watch it !

this song was playing when I was 16 and fucking one of my teachers back in 1974. In fact I think he took me to see "Last Tango in Paris" around the same time.
Where the book was dark, foreboding, atmospheric and meaningfull the film seemed to just become silly and humorous. although i did prefere the costumes of the film and the fact that they left out the last chapter. Plus Malcolm Mcdowell was great in this.
The Book was also humorous, i.e. the scene where alex goes into the crazy cat lady's house and slips on a saucer of milk and a pack of cats have at his face. I laughed for about ten minutes when I read that...
supermedieval , ag ?´hello hip of dirt ..u try to call me a lier¡..why u do that to me o my broher, i never done wront to u...well , ui want u to lick it´lovely
NO, if YOU saw the scene of the movie in wich this magnificent song plays YOU should had understand it is pure Shakespearian sound from the XV century, which softens the message of natural human VIOLENCE versus society BRAINWASHING that is done in the scene.
it is a very good film but i have to admit having read the book several times first i initially found it disappointing. film just can't capture the complexities of language which are central to the book.
Just why do I suddenly have this idea grabbing a sword called Excalibur and then ride on a horseback to Camelot?

Malcolm McDowell is so great in this movie.
I wonder why it wasnt really a breakthrough for him.Actually he thought it was and that he and Kubrick were good friends from now on.
But its said that Kubrick drops actors like hot potatoes after work is done..
Kubrick also said that Mcdowells german synchro-voice fits much better then his real voice. I do agree
But wayne?
