This is propaganda. I think like all militaries, they want to persuade people at home that their occupation of afganistan is justified. Strangely enough, the areas these soldiers are patrolling are peaceful, because the local tribes wish to keep it that way, but sadly Nato believes they are peacefull because of them which is not true, their presence might actually cause deterioration of the security.
