I love MJ but I think he kinda fueled the mob that tailed him around by signing autographs, waving at them, etc. If he never responded then there'd be no hope and ostensibly ppl would stop mobbing him...

he didn't sign any autographs in that mob. His fans waited outside that hotel room for hours before he showed a glimpse of himself. It happens everywhere he goes.
and there's nothing wrong with cracking your window and signing a few autographs. He's a sweetie like that

I don't think it mattered if he signed autographs or not. When he stepped into the view of fans they went crazy and all logical thoughts went out the window. It was like that since he was a child & it never stopped. I have to admit he was the only superstar I would have waited hours to see because he was so far above other celebrities that it is unreal.
