  • tuned by ? hp?

  • @armandonika - Back in 2003 I had a GIAC X chip. I figure it was 330-350 hp or so.

  • did you ever get the numbers for just this tune? i know youre car is like stage 3 now but this tune must have been near 290whp no?

  • @SlashsSon101 - I'd say that's a good guess considering it trapped 105 mph full weight.

  • Usually

    Stage 1= Chip

    Stage 2= Chip + Exhaust

Stage 2+= Chip + Exhaust + Downpipes nd possible FMIC/SMIC

    Stage3=Upgrades Turbos + fueling etc.

  • What is stage 2?

    I just bought a S4 2.7 with Rs exhaustmainfold and chip = stage 0.5?

  • I see you're turning right?

  • dayum. im looking to sell my 2.8 and pick up an s4. pretty fast

  • sick whip man i got the same one doing evo3 16g turbos on my all custom with eurodyne tunning

  • What's with the turn signal?

  • " Its an A4 i dont know why you would- HOLY SHIT WHERE DID IT GO?!!?!" lol

  • you mentioned running 13.1 when stage II...did you ever go to the strip when stage III?

  • @sakimano - Once - broke a halfshaft on the first launch. I moved to Germany a month later.

I'm not that interested in drag racing it, though I'd like to do the Texas Mile.

  • that bitch is FAST!

  • Sounds very good!

  • @T04E - Thanks, that exhaust system sounded very nice (and was quiet when driving normally) up to about 350 hp. After I went to larger K16/K04 turbos, the exhaust became restrictive and made a terrible "sandblaster" sound. I then changed to an ASP true dual exhaust which had an awesome tone, but was a bit loud for daily driving. Now I'm running a Borla which is similar sounding to the Neuspeed exhaust in this video.

  • @ChrisOstberg That's cool man, I just love the sound of those V6s... the best sound on those engines is with 0 backpressure after turbos though.. :)

  • it sounds awesome :]

Is this engine basically the same as the one used in the old Golf VR6, with two turbos attached?

  • @GiR2007 - Thanks! Although it sounds similar to the VR6, it's a totally different engine. The VR6 has a very narrow V angle (15 degrees) whereas the S4 engine is a traditional 90 degree V.
