  • does it come with the pen and how long does the battery last for? thanks

  • good vid. all of them are very helpful.

In regards to the note taking, both scribble and text, do these notes and scribbles and highlights transfer back to the PC when I later view it in acrobat pro?

I have been using my buddy's kindle and all the highlights and notes are lost when I later look at the PDF on my PC.

    Thanks

  • No one seems to be addressing one very important issue, What about PDFs with image files? It is useless if we cannot use PDF books that contain some images.

  • @Triangulove

I agree. but i think the comics he showed is a surrogate for any graphs or tables or pics as these are normally stored as a raster image in PDF files.

  • @DontMessWithToxins

In my opinion, this particular reader seems to handle PDF files very flimsily. There seems to be a constant flashing light, unless that is the video. Or maybe I just do not like the IU of this reader.

  • @Triangulove the flashing is common on all readers i'm pretty sure..

  • If i marked passages will I see those markings in a reader after transferring it back to the PC? Thanks!

  • also, is it workiing well to read a 10mb pdf imaged file? will it be very slow?

    thanks!

  • may i handwrite some notes when i read a imaged pdf?

  • When I change the fontsize in pdfs on my prs t1 (bought it last week) I get really slow action from it. It often takes about 5 seconds or more to go to the next page with the fontsize changed. I also noticed that pressing any interactive content on a pdf (like pagenumbers in the contents overview) can screw up the markup of the pdf file. I'm a bit disappointed by this. Read similar comments from other owners. Good video though. Very good and quick overview. Without the bugs it's a great reader.

  • @vanderslagmulders I think so far Sony has the best PDF support though. If you really want to read pdfs smoothly, tablets or your laptop works better... so far no reader out there that supports pdfs smoothly since the processors can't take the size.

  • When in the landscape mode, is it possible to use all the dialogs and view/create notes as in the normal mode? Or do you have to exit the landscape mode to do anything else than scrolling?

  • It handles PDF surprisingly well. I recently pre-ordered it (should come out in Denmark by late October) and can't wait to get my hands on it!

    Thanks for the review.

  • I have an question. Is it possible to put PDF files from my computer into this e-reader?

  • @hamzasaai

    Yes it is.

  • @hamzasaai yes

  • All these e ink readers have slow processors and very little memory.

  • Thanks for the review. The 2-columns PDF seem to work fine, good to know.

Quite weird how another reviewer had a terrible performance for PDFs and yours looks alright though:

Will have to wait for end of this month to get it in the UK though...

  • Tnx, great review!

  • Thank you for the review.

So the conclusion is 'Better get a bigger screen for reading .pdf files'.

  • Sony is a falling empire.
