  • And now it has established that this episode was aired June 19, 1970. And what's even more about this episode, Jan Murray appears in Game 2 of this episode, so this episode was reaired on GSN so many times including the Lover's Lounge block IIRC.

  • I am talking about the VIDEO itself, not the actual show. I was wondering how the VIDEO was taken...there were NO commercial VHS recorders for personal use in the 60's or early 70's. (NOTICE I SAID NICK AT NIGHT- CABLE from 1984 at the earliest.)

    The show itself was probably from the 60's!!!!!

  • Sally, I'm sorry for the misunderstanding (almost sounded like you were refering to someone named Nick at night). Anyway, you were correct- commercial VCR's were not quite out yet (3 years later they were about $3000)however many shows including the news, sporting events etc. were all video taped. Looking at the poor quality of this clip I'd say this was probably a copy of a copy of a copy

  • But, there were other video recorded other than VHS. My grandfather had a Sony U MAtic, which was avaliable for sale for about a couple of thousands of dollars, and he bought it. Now he has some old tapes of episodes of shows that dont exist in the networks :)
