Bill Hicks and George Carlin were deep thinkers and very much intellectuals who could engage their audiences cerebrally. Contemporary comedy has taken such a nose dive since the passing of these two.
chris is intimidated, but so is jon stewart during his interview. He was just so much a legend to these guys, i think they were a little intimidated. just a little.
This might sound wierd but if you could trade a few years of your life to prolong the life a someone else, Carlin would have gotten 10 from me, at least.
A master with words and language, George Carlin will always be the best. John Stewart said it best when he said, "In comedy, there's a Holy Trinity. Lenny Bruce, Richard Prior, George Carlin. The rest are just congregation." He is absolutely correct. Long live the comedy mind of George Carlin.
True, never seen chris's show before but he was one uneasy dude in that chair, you could tell he didnt want to sound like an arsehole in front o carlin, his body language showed it all, loved how george just sat there sluched back!! Legend.

Will there ever be a comedian like George? Yeah, but maybe in a couple of hundred...thousand years. Gotta love the guy.

Chris seemed to eb rather nervous around George, never seen him so in awe of another comedian. Must really respect him.

Yeah, but not strange. I guess you'll have to give some sort of homage to Carling if your in the same line of work.
