@WarlosPS3 had exactly the same problem. If you take it off again, and look at the 2 white bracket things, there's some tiny holes in them that correspond with hooks on the underneath of the key. when you put it back on, press down firmly in exactly these places and it'll click once more :) it sounds stupid, and you're probably thinking 'I'm not an idiot, I clicked the whole thing until it wouldn't click any more', but that worked for me :)
@TisGiraf For removing the spacebar, this video shows how in detail:
"MacBook spacebar detail fixing, cleaning, or replacing"
He is using a macbook but the removal process is exactly the same for unibody macbook pros. I just spilt juice under my spacebar and thanks to these two videos it juice-free again.
@TisGiraf when i removed it i pulled apart a paperclip and used a point on it to wedge under parts of the space key and then with a bit of force lift it up and then get my nails under it and eventually those metal parts will unclick off the space key and it will come off.
thanks heaps man! my spacebar was going all sticky and not pressing properly so i removed it and tried to put it back on but didnt know a technique that would make it work and then i tried this and it worked third time lucky :D
@TisGiraf Hi, ok I will try to give you the idea of detaching the spacebar.
There are several tools that's good for this task. I am using a tool shown in 0:30 in this video (metal pin)
1. Start from the side and work your way around the key both ways on the top and on the bottom. You have to do this to remove the metalbars from the key.
2. Now lift the key a little and check where the white plastic mechanisms are. Pull the key on the top site straight upwards from the mechanisms are.
@TisGiraf Detach the metal bars and drop it into a bowl with water. To detach it check the other videos on the right side, but take care! I haven't found a really good one yet. They all risk damage!
@tito533 Could be a little grain of sand or something. You could try to pull the key up (just a little bit) and then blow it away. Just blow all around the key, maybe it helps...

What year is this computer and does it have vertical or horizontal clips?
homePicShow1 1 year ago
xcan you show ho to remove it
tito533 1 year ago
@tito533 You shouldn't remove it, unless you really got to. It's quiet difficult.
You will need a tool like shown in the video. Go around the top part and remove the metal bar. Then you have to detach the key from the white clips.
