  • Nice video. Lousy music.

  • I FUCKING HATE TRAINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • good vid, but i had to mute it

  • Great video and Great Music, very nice COMBO you made !! GOOD TASTE. What's the name of the song, and forgive my ignorance, which group plays It?

  • ARE THESE the old Somerset RR tracks?

I was in the area for the first time in my life this summer.

  • old rails never die... they just turn rusty or get ripped up.

  • I agree, the music sucks, but the pictures are awesome. Nice we still have GP9's.

  • nice video i cant remember off the top of my head but is this a gp-7 or gp-9 engine

  • wow cant believe the tracks still held after all that time. still good vid, love when trains run on abandoned tracks. any history/info on this line?

  • Crap music. I want hear the engine.

  • the music you put with this video sounds like shit. you must be really retarded to put this kind of music on your train video.

  • Why NOT used for 20 years and why NOW used?

Did they inspect the track before the firstrain?

  • Did that industry switch to truck in "87 and decided to try rail again?

  • WHY ALL THE SHITE MUSIC ON THESE AMERICAN VIDEOS,

  • This also happened last year. The first train came through in 18 years. But there's been no trains since. The railroad is called the Northwestern Pacific Railroad. They have cleaned up the tracks and everything.

  • My grandma is quicker than that train

  • Better than having trucks backing in that building.

  • Trebuk ROCKS!!!!!! So duz the old GEEP! with squeky rails. Great VID man !!!!!!!!!

  • Good video (linked from a thread on RAILROAD.Net), but I wish I'd known you had a version without the "music." 8-P

  • why were the tracks abbandond and not torn up? its like they knew "they'll be back" so they left the tracks lol... can i get some more info on this whole operation here? i found this location on google earth. where dose it end on the north side? i kno the line starts in Oakland, but at Bingham i loose the trail.

  • why were the tracks abbandond and not torn up? its like they knew "they'll be back" so they left the tracks lol... can i get some more info on this whole operation here? lol im gonna find this location on google earth.

  • that engine is a GP9 i have a few model engines like that.

  • Cut the bullshit music next time

  • Yah there is one without the music......

  • way to ruin it with the song

  • @MrRozanski that's what she said/...

  • Man! LOOK at the condition of the rails! Bet it took a while for the locals to get used to having to stop at the crossbucks again!

  • asome railroad track and cool train

  • I hate to be boring, but... Cool.

  • awesome video. i love this one a lot better than ur one without music because the music makes it more exciting and this is a very exciting moment. if only the abandoned up ex-cnw line in my town was reopened, or the abandoned ns ex-nkp line, but that will never happen because the rails for both those lines were torn out in 2001, the year before i moved here to have the chance to see it :(

  • Wow, the old girl is still running!:) She must've been running side-by-side with steam locomotives back in her early days.

  • In which state is North anson? Maine?

And which number/name hast got the road that has been crossed? No. 234?

    Thanks!

  • ST71.. Dang thats one old locomotive. I wonder when she was built

  • ST71 was built in June of 1957

  • NICE! how many cars do the trains usaly have around there?

  • keep the videos coming.....awesome

  • if that was the first train in twenty years the track must have been in rough shape

  • So you see Guildford up there? I've seen a few of em' all the down here in Pittsburgh. whats the Railroad that you work for up there in Maine? i got a video for ya that i think will really interest you.

  • wow they havnt gotten rail service in a while....wait so ur a conductor for pan am/guilford? and i love ur show extreme trains i have one of the episodes on my ipod!

  • Yes! And thanks man.

I have worked some of the locals up to North Anson. They were up there today hauling stone.

  • @fatslammer2002 wait so your the host from extreme tains? thats freakin awesome

  • do you have any videos or pictures of it going by the cemetary in north Anson?

  • im sure she would love it

  • o ya what would be cool is you could help clean up the line :)

  • well im happy for that train line I hope you can go railfanning on that line on a normal bases:))

  • Now how often do trains use the line?

  • Hey next time you want to use my Husband in your video I expect a check! He does look pretty hot though!

  • what was the name of the road that it crossed?

  • wow that`s kool

  • how often is the line used?

  • Im pretty sure ex. Bangor & Aroostook #71 was scrapped in Star, NC around the year 2003 after years of service on the ACWR

  • That must've been quite a suprise when you heard the horns in the distance! Very cool. I hope that continues on a normal basis.

  • Me too because it was the first engine back to North Anson...... my home town!

  • I have a particular soft spot for ST #71.

I custom painted a model of it as B&M #1736 once with my dad.

  • I hope rail get s big in NH and Maine I would really like to move back home to run trains up in new england!!!

  • Yeah, the Calais branch is in excellent shape still. My grandmother used to ride that line to Bangor, & back when she was in college @ U of M. They used steam back then though. I remember my grandpa & I watching the MEC diesels run on that line in the 70's when I was knee high to a grasshopper.

  • Awesome! It's great to see the old branches coming back to life up here. Hopefully the Calais branch will be fully reactivated soon after seeing this.

  • I wouldn't be shocked if they reactivated the Calais branch. Whether it would be a tourist line or some freight too. I think you will see some huge changes in the Maine rail infrastructure in the next 5 years.

  • I liked the video, not lovin the music!!!

  • ST #71 is ex-BM #1736.

  • Thanks man!

  • Thanks for the compliment man! And that engine was B+M... 17---??? Someone on here will know!

  • Interesting bell position on the short hood end of the geep, offset and above the number board. What is the heritage of this geep? Great music also!

  • so is the line coming back up...great shooting dude...

  • Yah they are going up there quite often now. Rumors of alot more biz are flying!

  • way cool...

  • good one dude!

  • thanks man!

  • It's always good when rail service returns to a long abandoned line. It's much better than seeing it going to waste as a bike trail. I especially like the sounds of a GP-7, that would make the video more appealing. Good effort, though.

  • ok let me get this right ok...they havent been on that line in 20 years...is that why there was a couple workers watching the train?

  • Yes

  • i love these videos of old branchlines comming back to life!

  • Right on man! Pan AM Has big plans for this area. It may take a little time but in the next few years it could get interesting.

  • Always good to see old lines Revived.

  • when its real

patmix are alway there for this

this song you added on this clip sounds-like some's track's from the 1981 ICONS joe perry project album -ive got rnr again- very kick ass summer. This l-p fit whit your sounds

listen this album and let me know what do you think

    c u soon

    patmix (:

  • ok i like this punchy song's and train rocks too they fit

    where trebuk are from ?

hope to see you live on stage in trois-rivières city someday

    train on!!!

  • We (Trebuk) are from Maine. You can check us out at myspace. The branch is on it's way back from the brink..... Pan Am is showing major interest in reviving it. Thanks for your positive comments.

  • 20 years whitout trains ?

    how its possible

now do you have regular service ?

  • What are they delivering in the cars?

  • wood pulp

  • all the trackage. it's about 5 miles in all

  • Is the line that hasn't seen traffic in 20 years merely the spur that you see it going down at about 1:00, or does it also include the trackage in the preceding footage?
