  • wtf tarzan ,lol coool

  • god this is so much better than the garbage that is "Passive" on emotive.

  • i so hope they play this when i see them in july

  • Paz gives me goosebumps at the end!

  • I like the studio version better although I do like the heavy sound.

  • amazing in its aww i didn t know that this song existed untel a freind told and love ever note played and sung maynard is a god

  • Paz's screams at 3:50 on. Shivers! :D

  • @AeternalEnigma

I actually fell in love with her when I watched this *_*

  • that bitch sucks tho that tried to do vocals she should just stick to playing bass she cannot sing.

this version was not bad i think tho. not nearly as heavy as tool for tool is metal and apc is a rock band.

  • @Smackenzieth

Actually she did her "GO!" pretty good, it did fit - so go fuck yourself dude.

Also she did some solo work too, and that stuff is more than "decent".

Do some research, compare, before implying bullshit.

  • Ok but what is this outfit... awkward.

  • Maynards voice is so beautiful D:

  • is there a studio version of this?

  • @Gajo007 yes but this live version sounds better...j

  • do you know where can i find it? xD

  • I think its also on the Constantine soundtrack but I think it kinda sucks so why bother....

  • @Gajo007 its on emotive. called passive....its quite different from vacant

  • @User1234510 yeah i know, but i want THIS version xD

  • @Gajo007 lol me too but there is none. there is a live version on a cd though. the quality was much better than this one

  • There is a version of this song on the emotive cd called passive. It's nearly the same song, it's just been tweaked.

  • Dead as dead can be, thats what the doctor tells me. But l just can't believe him. ever the optomistic one. l'm sure of your ability to become my perfect enemy. Wake up and face me. rise up and show me. someday l"ll say your vacant and maybe your better off this way. Leaning over you here, your cold and catatonic. l catch a brief reflection of what you could and might have been. it's your right and your ability to become my perfect enemy! WAKE UP AND FACE ME! RISE UP AND SHOW ME!...

  • SOMEDAY L'LL SAY YOUR VACANT AND maybe your better off this way... MAYBE YOUR BETTER OFF!! WAKE UP! WHY CAN'T YOU FACE ME!? RISE UP AND SHOW ME! SOMEDAY I'LL SAY YOUR VACANT AND MAYBE YOUR BETTER OFF THIS WAY, GO AHEAD AND PLAY DEAD, I KNOW THAT YOU CAN HEAR THIS! GO AHEAD AND PLAY DEAD! WHY CAN'T YOU TURN AND FACE ME? WHY CANT YOU TURN AND FACE ME? WHY CANT YOU TURN AND FACE ME? WHY CAN'T YOU TURN AND FACE ME? YOU FUCKING DISSAPOINT ME!

  • was billy howerdel one of tools guitar techs on tour in about 1996? i thought he was lol

  • yeah he was

  • "take your pants off" fuck britney spears in the ass" i love their songs! haha

  • hmm apc =) arent they just awesome??? LOL YESSSSSSSSS

  • i seen them play this song live back in i think it was 2000, it was fucking awesome and then when they put it on album was a wet dream come true one of the best songs (co) written by MJK

  • whos that girl?

  • Is Paz [pronounced Pause] Lenchantin. She was the original bassist that was with them before Jeordie.

  • and she's from argentina (mar del plata) =)

  • i had a dream last night i was trying to see tool live and i couldn't get tickets, but i kept finding acid and taking it with my dad. I wish i would of sleep until i got the tickets and watch the concert.

  • I like passive more it sounds alot better

  • i like this version, its heavier and sounds like tool

  • I actually like Vacant a bit better than passive but Passive still has my heart

  • awesome!!

  • Maynard is a great singer.

  • I wish Tapeworm became a reality. I'd love to see what Maynard and Trent could come up with over a full album.

  • i like the passive version***

  • i like the passive.

this one has an awesome opening... but... the album one is more melodic. has more feeling... it gets to me more than this one.

  • this has been the better version in my book.

  • Not bad, I prefer the cd version thouh..

  • yea...this version has BAWLS.

  • Awesome , this version is pulling my legs...

plenty of power with alot sensetive emotion

  • lexwolff

i'm a huge APC and TOOL fan and even I agree that emotive wasn't even a proper APC album... there were some really good songs but it was never as amazing as 13th step and mer de noms were. Come on guys! Its bout time APC put out another album and rock!!!

  • agreed (on the new album front) but...i think they're on indefinate hiatus aren't they? :/

  • yeah i agree eMotive was really not good. the only ones i like on it were Annihilation, Imagine, Passive, and Counting Bodies Like Sheep.

but fuck, APC is still awesome.

    hope they come back!

but until then, LONG LIVE MAYNARD AND TOOL!

  • emotive was an excuse to get out of a recording contract so it's not really a surprise that it was crap

  • Vacant IS better than Passive and you all know it! :)

  • 'tisn't!

  • APC is by far the greatest band in existence.

  • the less singers in mall clothes the better.

  • hehe is badass even when wearing a bannana hammoc

  • because he's from tool!!! All the tool guys are nuts! just look at danny carey and adam jones

  • this is not tool

  • maynard sure is tool.. agreed though.. apc is probably more like.. the smooth extention of tool

  • apc wouldn't have been much without maynard.

    evidence = ashes divide

  • are you suggesting that Billy should've done lead vocals for apc? Billy is VERY talented but not a vocalist mastermind like Maynard. Hence the reason he asked Maynard to sing for apc eventhough Billy wrote alot of the music.

  • Billy DID do lead vocals on the one album

  • really? which album was that and where do I get it? Billy NEVER did the lead vocals on any apc albums... He did a whole lot of backup vocals but thats it.

  • if you saw them when they opened up for NIN on the fragile tour they had a 7 song ep for sale. It contained the demos Billy presented maynard prior to him joining the band with him doing all the vocals and music. needless to say the drums were not all that great and the overall sound was not as polished as apc. I must admit though the unplugged versions of orestes with billy vocals is damn good. If i were maynard it would make me want to work with him also. Go to pirate bay for a torrent file.

  • why is this singer so weird and freaky...strange

  • cause he is Maynard...

  • cause he is genius

  • because he can be

  • Mabye thats why that version is called Passive...lol.

  • las luces, las palabras, las variaciones de tono de voz, la broma.. buena atmosfera, buen intro.. para una excelente version..

    WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE UP!!...

    ...

  • They did this when I saw them the 1st time, in Indianapolis. My buddy & I were like "WTF??" because nobody had heard it before then. It was easily the dopest performance of the whole show.

  • your mom too.. but we don't care =)

go fuck yourself listening to cristina aguilera

  • You suck abab316. I have to say that the worst comment I've ever read. Congrats on being a complet piece of shit. Your nothing more to me than magot.....Fuck off!!!!

  • I don't understand why so much argument about OPINION goes on with YouTube. My personal OPINION is that the Vacant version is more powerful than Passive, I would love to have been at a show where this was played!

  • I agree on both points.

  • Fucking love this song .. love Maynard's vocals.

Ooh, and wasn't this song also called "Fuck britney spears ... in the ass?" lol.

  • yeah i think u needed more shots of paz

  • While I do love this version, I prefer the studio version. I admit, this one is far more raw and unnerving (which I like), but the studio version is more dynamic. By that I mean that it shows a broader range of emotion, from quiet disbelief and denial at the beginning of the song all the way to barely-controlled, deep-seated rage at the height of it, to bitter acceptance at the end.

Yeah, maybe I read into it to much, but whatever.

  • Never heard this version before. It's awesome!

    Cheers

  • This version beats the shit out of the studio version on emotive. I do not know why they changed it up. GoD.

  • I think the second half of this version is fucking harcore and awesome, but i'm still very fond of the studio one

  • both are very veeeery awsome

  • Maynard is in his underwear! OVERT YOUR EYES!!!!

  • Wish you had told me that before I watched it. Not pretty.

  • Can you or someone tell me the name of the song after they calling it "Passive"??

Is something "...Conspiracy" right?? please help me with this

  • The studio/final version of the song was 'Passive'. I'm not sure where you're getting conspiracy from.

Anyways, this version was called 'Vacant'; which they never released a studio version of. It was only played during a couple shows. The song was written by 'Tapeworm (project)' which never quite came through. Maynard and A.P.C. were given the permission to perform this song.

  • No, they weren't given permission to play Vacant. That's the whole reason the Tapeworm project fell apart. A Perfect Circle played it and Trent Reznor found out, got angry, and quit.

  • Maynard and Trent Reznor recorded a bunch of shit that they didnt want to release, and maynard performed this song with apc... trent didnt quit, because it was never really a band...

  • if you like the one they did in the studio more.. you have no ear for good music.

  • same here.

  • this version seems dead...not very meaningful to me...I like the one they did in the studio more.

  • yeah i actually like the studio version more.

  • this version kicks the crap out of the studio version.

  • you're retarded

  • you're a fag that likes watered down music

  • watered down? passive is about ten times more intricate and complex than this shit version. sorry for the retard comment... i didn't know you actually ARE retarded

  • Are you fucking kidding me.

  • Nice version here

  • This version is definetly better than the studio version. Maybe there's some underlying reason that we don't know about as to why they recorded the way they did for the album

  • and i thought i had everything with Tool and APC

  • i dont like this version alot but you still get 5 stars cause A Perfect Circle OWNS

  • Paz screaming at the end was the icing on the cake. Awesome version, so much more energy than Passive. Thanks for posting.

  • Yeah. Many of you are right. It's called "Vacant" at that time.

  • I love Maynard's voice in this version, he's much more powerful, like when he's singing with Tool :D

  • maynard does hide in the back ...with tool but he changed his image and style for a perfect circle to distinguish the 2 bands

  • I always thought this version was so much better than the studio version.

  • the origianal song is not called Passive either when Danny Lohner wrote this it was called Vacant.

  • i miss someone

  • All those people who say "How come Maynard always hides in the back?" should watch this one.

  • There's nothing to watch, Parabolar.

  • the song in the context he sings it in is called "VACANT" is it not? i know its passive, but....yeah im pretty sure its called Vacant at this time and with the words

  • You are correct.

  • hahahahahaa!!!

  • I miss that Maynard. :(

  • This version is better than the new one.

  • WAY BETTER!

  • awesome where was his filmed?

  • The Hammerstein Ballroom, 03.02.01.

  • this is awesome

  • i dig this
