I've taken students to court. Every one was an a**h*** who made my class a living Hell. They have to watch the adults try to whine their way out of traffic tickets. Then, the kids get their turn. They plead guilty, we each tell what happened, and then the judge fines the kids anywhere from $100-200, plus they have to take anger management classes and do some community service.

Fucking Pigs.. fuck the school system. I was 13 when I got my first ticket and I didn't even throw a punch! This douche was giving me grief all year and finally on the last week of school, he decided to assault me. I put him in an arm lock and took him down to the ground and foolishly waited for a teacher to come help. I got a ticket, court date, fine and 100 hours of community service for defending myself from bodily harm using a fucking arm-lock! Fuck the school system! Fuck the police!

I think its kind of stupid how out of hand this seems to be getting, but I see where they are coming from. If parents have to shell out cahs when their kids is being 'disruptive' or something in class then maybe they will be more proactive in getting them to stop. But there should be some sort of warning system in place before it gets to an actual ticket. I don't think it should go on any perm records

They can get silly here. my little girl was innocently pretend playing that her friend was her husband in third grade and they kissed each other on the cheek and the teachers told them it was inappropriate. It was so silly. She told me later and when left that elementary school I wrote a letter about that a other silly crap that had happened and gave it to the principle. Yeh the principles and principle assistants here are very nazi'ish here in Travis county. All schools are not the same though.

I had students who brought guns to school, came to school high on drugs, stole, raped, etc.
I NEVER report kids to the police for smelling bad. In fact, I avoid involving the police until absolutely necessary. When the police are involved, it makes the teacher look incompetent. It's the job of the teacher, not the police, to manage the classroom.

Disrupting class is deliberate, noisy, violent behavior that shuts down the learning activity. Singing loudly. Fits where you scream "F**k" over and over. Humping your crotch in a girl's face. Throwing food around the room. Wrestling in the aisles. Pulling your pants down to show your shorts.

I'm from Texas, the same State where this kid got busted. She disrupted class. She was old enough to know the NO spray perfume rule in her school district. She put other students at risk of an asthma attack. She shut down instruction with her behavior. That is, for a fact, a misdemeanor in Texas.

I've taken students to court. Every one was an a**h*** who made my class a living Hell. They have to watch the adults try to whine their way out of traffic tickets. Then, the kids get their turn. They plead guilty, we each tell what happened, and then the judge fines the kids anywhere from $100-200, plus they have to take anger management classes and do some community service.
Don't believe the liberal talking heads on the video. Kids in TX who go to court deserve what they get!

You could care less if they learn from the situation so that they will do better. It's "professionals" like you that just want to make sure "somebody pays". 2) Some children *choose* not to learn from their mistakes. Some even choose not to learn from going to court.

Teachers are forbidden to carry concealed at school, on buses, on field trips, and athletic events, BUT all Texans with CHLs can legally walk around the parking lot and the sidewalk in front of the school packing.
No one in Texas is advocating allowing teachers to carry inside schools. The legislature is advocating allowing college students with CHLs to carry inside college buildings. This is meant to deter nutbars from doing any more mass shootings at college. NOT public school!
