  • If inspections are still allowed in New Jersey by unlicensed inspectors, that would be one of my first questions. Others would be:

    "Are you ASHI approved?"

"How many inspections have you done?"

    "Are you insured?"

"Can you give me several references?"

"If you find something wrong, are you going to offer to do the repair yourself?" (red flag!)

I can think of many more other than just the price and if the person on the phone is the one that will be doing the inspection..

  • @VirtualTourShop You are right that those are great questions. What I find is that most consumers first want to know the cost. Then it's up to the inspector when they're on the phone with a prospect to educate them as to the importance of the answers to questions like yours (at least if they're a good and reputable inspector). I find it creates a better relationship with the prospect to address what they want first and then help them from there.

  • Sorry to hear you don't like contacts from business people. Small businesses are a big part of what makes America great. IMO it's great to be able to connect with people from all over through the internet. I know some great inspectors in GA so if I can ever be of any help, please let me know.

  • I resent any and all contacts from business people. The ultimate stupidity of sending me this is that I live in Georgia. I will be researching how to block contacts from businesses!
