So he didn´t wan´t them only as a buffer zone, because the countries were annexed to SU in 1940. If you read the papers from orginal talks in Berlin 1940 and for example Molotov Kreve (Latvian foreign minister) talks in June 1940 (you find them also in the net), you got much different picture than defencive attitude of Stalin.

Japan was done, the atomic bomb was not needed.

Only part i disagree about is invading Russia, they should have waited till they had more troops,panzers, and stuka's. 1 year would have done that, Hitler would have owned Europe/Russia, while Japan (if they didn't attack USA) would have had most of asia.
Hitler made a ton of stupid but very fortunate mistakes that allowed us to win the war. Another thing Hitler should've done was to not halt research of aircraft in 1940. It was only until 1944, when he was losing ground, that he resumed air research to build jet aircraft. They were powerful and inflicted Allied losses, but by then, Germany's industry has been destroyed so it can't mass produce them.
Yeah, stalingrad was pretty much the last thing that stood in the way for the Germans to totally control the Caucasus. Had they dominated the area, they would've gained access to a invaluable amount of oil, which might've let them win the war.
And stalingrad would also be a propaganda loss for Russia since the city bore their leader's name
Because Germany needed the oil and other resources and the campaign took so long. Germany couldn't beat russia after that. They were not equipped for a war of attrition. Once it failed they were defeated rather quickly.

The main problem with the air war against Britain was that Hitler ordered the Luftwaffe to start attacking British cities. Until then, the Luftwaffe had targeted RAF airbases and had the RAF against the ropes and almost out of pilots. Silly Hitler!

So he didn´t wan´t them only as a buffer zone, because the countries were annexed to SU in 1940. If you read the papers from orginal talks in Berlin 1940 and for example Molotov Kreve (Latvian foreign minister) talks in June 1940 (you find them also in the net), you got much different picture than defencive attitude of Stalin.

@joshbrelly1 Japan was only fighting because they were sure that Germany would defeat USA and the Western Allies, as long as Germany fought they would fight with them, but Berlin had surrender to the Soviets, so all Japan needed was to hear the news, like I said before the Soviets were planning to invade Manchuria and most of Japan's colonies were gone. Japan was done, the atomic bomb was not needed.

Europe is different. Europe is composed of many smaller countries along with larger countries. North America is too vast and there is no way Hitler could occupy it all. Yes, the UK and France declared war on Germany, but Hitler still started it. Specifically by invading Poland (Final straw).
He also had a blatant disregard for the safety of his people. For example, during the battle of Berlin he made no attempt to protect it's citizens, believing that if they could not survive the invasion then they didn't deserve to live.
Also, he was a fascist dictator, meaning his people had little freedom.

Of course the Maginot line was used - German troops which attacked it got a bloody nose. The real fault was to misuse the mobile army and the armoured divisions which were to maneuver in the North.
A fortified line is not supposed to cover a whole front. It always leaves selected gaps, where the enemy enters only to be trapped. That happened in Lorraine in 1914, for example, successively to the French and to the Germans.

finland wasnt part of nazi empire.we just ally with them and they went to russia from here.and then we wanted them out from our country so we helped little bit russia and kicked them off from this country.then we joined allys.

Hitler would have definatly won the war if he did a few things different.
1. Carried out Operation Sealion, the ground invasion of Britian.
2.Convinced Japan to not attack the USA for any reason
3.Not attacked Russia until Britain was completely defeated
4.Invaded Russia in early spring, instead of invading late in the year and fighting througout the harsh Russian Winters.
If he did this, the Axis would have likely taken over all of Europe, Asia, and Africa.

I agree for the most part, letting his air force fight the british air force instead of invading the UK was a mistake
Only part i disagree about is invading Russia, they should have waited till they had more troops,panzers, and stuka's. 1 year would have done that, Hitler would have owned Europe/Russia, while Japan (if they didn't attack USA) would have had most of asia.

Hitler made a ton of stupid but very fortunate mistakes that allowed us to win the war. Another thing Hitler should've done was to not halt research of aircraft in 1940. It was only until 1944, when he was losing ground, that he resumed air research to build jet aircraft. They were powerful and inflicted Allied losses, but by then, Germany's industry has been destroyed so it can't mass produce them.

It was stalingrad. After that loss winning the war was near impossible. If germany had been able to take out russia it's be a very different world.

Yeah, stalingrad was pretty much the last thing that stood in the way for the Germans to totally control the Caucasus. Had they dominated the area, they would've gained access to a invaluable amount of oil, which might've let them win the war.
And stalingrad would also be a propaganda loss for Russia since the city bore their leader's name

Because Germany needed the oil and other resources and the campaign took so long. Germany couldn't beat russia after that. They were not equipped for a war of attrition. Once it failed they were defeated rather quickly.

the single thing that hitler should have done was not to invade russia so early, he had made a glorious feat of diplomacy closing off the eastern front, but he deliberatly opened it up at stalingrad. he could have waited. but it was very fortunate for us.

@moviemakerrules absolutley. the man fucked up on a grand scale, he will likely only be remembered for the horrible things he did. he was drunk on power. and methamphetamines:] he was blinded by his disillusionism, and he refused to accept his inevitable defeat before the allies. One thing is for sure, Russia accepted 80% of all Nazi casualties, survived the blitzkrieg of 1941, and fucked up Berlin while Moscow was untouched. In conclusion, Russia kicked ass in WWII. =]

The main problem with the air war against Britain was that Hitler ordered the Luftwaffe to start attacking British cities. Until then, the Luftwaffe had targeted RAF airbases and had the RAF against the ropes and almost out of pilots. Silly Hitler!

I agree. But don't forget that Operation Sealion's success depended on the RAF being crippled first, which Hitler failed to do.
