I remember I was just watching hamtaro with my brothers and then randomly my mom comes into the room and starts yelling at me and my brothers saying that hamtaro was evil. In fact I think I want to make a video myself on that subject. How anime can take over your life almost to the point where you think you are an anime character. Because I see it all the time.
Their mentality is that anything that makes the youth obsess over material things and entertainment is something that isn't tolerated in Gods eyes. Same for things like Television, Video Games, Computers, Porn. Those are all things that people enjoy that are harmless but it does take over ur personality. First misconception: anime is porn. There is a difference between anime porn, otherwise known as hentai, and anime in general. We as anime fans know this, but there is a lot of things that make it seem...TBC

There is a difference between outlining a figure in a transformation scene, or showing someone's back while bathing, than showing every bit of detail in a humans body. When I was younger, my dad wouldn't let me watch anime, like Digimon or Cardcaptors, because it had elements like magic in it and it went against his religous belief. He'd only let me watch Pokemon. Thank goodness he doesn't bother me about watching anime anymore.

Their mentality is that anything that makes the youth obsess over material things and entertainment is something that isn't tolerated in Gods eyes. Same for things like Television, Video Games, Computers, Porn. Those are all things that people enjoy that are harmless but it does take over ur personality. I'm not agreeing with those guys but I think that anime cons are very driven more by obsession than just bcuz ur fans. I've seen people REALLY change because of anime. And it IS an addiction.

Everyone that is or has ever walked on this earth has sinned in his or her lifetime. Another thing is, that a lot of people believe creatures that appear in anime, such as pokemon are demons. There is no proof. At the most, they are friends to the characters, at the least, they are pets. Also in cases like Inu-yasha, the Japanese have a very different believe on what a demon is. Well not all things, but all things pertaining to the Entertainment industry do. Thats why if you see something rated MA, you don't buy it for a kid. The same thing should be said about anime. There are ratings on the boxes for a reason. As a consumer, you have the right, because of the rating, to say that this is not appropriate for myself, my family, or because of the rating, I don't think that it would be good for my sensibilities. Also, those ratings appear before every TV show that...TBA

This took me a while to write, but now I'm posting it. It's going to take several comments to get it all in, and I'm going to be addressing a lot of reasons why people, especially Christians in our country, the USA feel anime is bad, and giving my point of view about why they are wrong.
First misconception: anime is porn. There is a difference between anime porn, otherwise known as hentai, and anime in general. We as anime fans know this, but there is a lot of things that make it seem...TBC

There is a difference between outlining a figure in a transformation scene, or showing someone's back while bathing, than showing every bit of detail in a humans body. Also, just because an anime character dresses slutty, like Faye from Cowboy Bebop for instance, does not mean that there is going to be sexual activity involved in it. When I was younger, my dad wouldn't let me watch anime, like Digimon or Cardcaptors, because it had elements like magic in it and it went against his religous belief. He'd only let me watch Pokemon. Thank goodness he doesn't bother me about watching anime anymore.

Completely agreed. Some people need to learn to research their stuff before they go on idiot trips like the one shown in the video (not the guy the protesters). While I don't think that they'll be able to get rid of our freedoms completely, its the same type of idiot trip that started prohibition and founded the KKK.
