Not bad, but some important parts were missed. Plus you're letting too much noise escape from the strings at times, and a few of your bends weren't hitting the correct tones. Not to worry though, just keep at it mate!
Im not sure but if it was because they were selling too many, they should have expanded to make room for the showmaster, and even expanded on the showmaster
I bought a Showmaster about four years ago and loved every second i owned it. A while ago, as it was sitting on the stand, I knocked it over accidentally and the headstock snapped right off. I absolutely miss it, but got a 1987 Gibson SG in its place. The playability was amazing, and the neck was perfect thickness. I like the sound of the SG pickups better, and it's more durable, but i would still love to go back in time and save it, it truly is unique
@hendrix4PLURR Yes, playability is one of the selling points for this guitar. It looks great, sounds decent - I really wonder why Fender discontinued the Showmaster. I know it has something to do with a running the business. But were they selling too few of them, or too much of them? - as to endanger sales of American Strats.
Sure, I skipped large portions of this masterpiece. I just do not have time to figure out whole piece in its entire lenght and intricacy. And by the way - it was not written for electric guitar, but I do not have the pipe organ at home.
If you have chance to trade it for Gibson Les Paul - by all means, go ahead. But I would not trade mine for Epiphone Les Paul. This Fender Showmaster is so unique (and not produced anymore), it might be collectible item in 20-30 years. Plus it sounds decently and neck is playable like few other guitars out there.

la guitarra electrica con distorcion pone muchas limitaciones, es por esa razon que esa musica no se puede tocar con distorcion debido a que se escucha mucho el sucio.
wow. your vibrato and tone were horrible idk anything else to say except that you chose a great classical piece to cover. not too bad but could be much much... much better
Hm, I just heard the piece here an there in concerts, and one day decided to put it together for the guitar. So, I might have missed something. The "annoying squeeky" sound has more to do with the amp (transistor Marschall) and the setting. I strugled to find a sound that would not be too metally. We have two other Fenders at home - Mexican Telecaster and American Stratocaster (plus 8 other guitars) and this one, for me, is right behind the Gretsch when the "feel" is considered.
Well I never heard the showmaster live myself so I guess I can't judge.
Maybe a clean sound with high volume + high reverb would've been better... Should work fantastic with a high quality Fender tube amp, the ones with the spring reverb.
Might not even need pedals.
But yeah, of curse, overall it was good, great guitar playing.
The guitar is Fender Showmaster and it is out of production. You will have to find a used one somewhere on the internet, or in local shops, if you are lucky.

I agree about the tone, but he plays it really well!! It just sounds too trebley, that's all.

Eh...
That is a Fender?!
It doesn't sound anything like a fender, sounds more like an Ibanez...
Annoying squeeky sound.
