Caps will help BUT not with that draw of power...You need to create power in order to store it in a cap or batt. Your theory may work on a baby system but this is not one of them!
if your running 30,000 watts, the bats have to be constantly charged, or they're gonna drop quick. when bat energy is pulled, voltage drops, so if its got a badass charging system with a lot of bats, there is no drops, because higher volts = more power.

If you have the money and they have one that fits your car then get a DC power alt! You save some cash on batts by checkin out Deka Intimidators 9a31...comparable to a kinetik 2400. As far as batteries go i would say 2-3 group 31 batts. And a ATEAST a 200amp alt. Bigger is better of course

ok, i work at auto zone and i'll say it... this kid didnt know his stuff. those old models for testing alt where not to acurate, so we got new ones :) he was probibly still in training so give him a brake. he probibly didnt even know his numbers to know if it was good or bad and was just relying on the machine to tell him. not to mention that if u over charge you can kill ur battery. good thing u have an optama.
Yes it's true. I used this machine, and to have an amp reading, he should have put the special clamp around the positive wire to read amps. The way he did it, you can only see volts.

yall bullshit! im an a1-a8 certified autozoner. the arbst tester is awsome if calibrated right. i never saw the amp probe hooked up. that autozoner knows nothing if that guy brought his car to he i would instantly notice four alternators. you must isolate the alternators to test them, just like desils with two batteries.wether or not that machines shows over 300 amps who knows never seen it-love to try. id made that guy feel stupid for asking!! t dub las vegas come ask for me

you should try going to a real place were they have ase people testing the shit like you said. but let me tell you there is a wire that connects from the positive cable that runs from the ALTERNATOR TO GIVE THE OUT PUT YOU DUMB SHIT. three wires should be connected to do a proper alternator test big bob

there IS no wire that's supposed to get "data" from any alternator dip shit, the tester puts a load on the battery while the engine is running at 2000 rpm to test the charging system

Guess who works the parts counter at a dealership or shop? A mechanic. Guess what those grumpy old parts guys who know everything used to do? Be mechanics.
Parts guys need to know cars, period.

you should come to my stereo shop. my friends and i custom moded one of those machines to run like 2 or more alternators. my shop owner has an 2006 chevy envoy and he has 3 alts at 300amps each and when we test them they pass. s9o we can power 2 15" rd super heavy weights

actually alts dont really do anything at idle, if they do its barely anything, you have to rev the engine so the alts actually put out any power.

a roll out tester is useless on his jacked up chevy...would have to test each alternator off the vehicle..but 3 could go out and he wouldnt know unless he's got separate gauges for each alt...must have beat, video and other useless stuff in that tahoe

ok, i work at auto zone and i'll say it... this kid didnt know his stuff. those old models for testing alt where not to acurate, so we got new ones :) he was probibly still in training so give him a brake. he probibly didnt even know his numbers to know if it was good or bad and was just relying on the machine to tell him. not to mention that if u over charge you can kill ur battery. good thing u have an optama.

Yes it's true. I used this machine, and to have an amp reading, he should have put the special clamp around the positive wire to read amps. The way he did it, you can only see volts.

I too work at Autozone and granted these guys should of know there were 4 alternators on that vehicle. But in there defense, if you think these guys (matter of fact everyone at autozone) should be ASE Master Mechanics, than no one would be working there. Especially for the mediocre pay were given. You guys should speak for yourselves, because if you are like most of our customers your just as clueless as these guys.
