@peterscoop My sound card is a Creative Sound Blaster X-FI Fatal1ty Champion, and the software i used for this recording was Audacity.

I have not done any recent recording due to the inadequacy of my recording gear.

I am saving for an Mbox and a copy of Pro Tools 8.

Once i have that set up i will start recording again.

When you get out of the Amp in the Line In, make sure you use grounded and shielded cables, disable the box if you have one and use headphones for monitoring. I have an SB Audigy 2 and no problem with Audacity. Sounds more then cable or powercord problems to me.

@yeggomiester Sorry mate i really cant remember exactly... The guitar is an ESP KH-202 and i am pretty sure it was running direct to my PC soundcard pre-amp (Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi Fatal!ty Champion) and the effects were through the creative software for the card. (Hence the computery tone which worked perfectly with the tune)

I cant remember what FX i used, however, going from the sound i think it was just a combination of Chorus and Distortion. I doubt it would be a hard tone to re create.
