  • This is way better than the Queen Mary's horn now

  • WOW! when this record came out, it must've been the most boring shit ever, but now it's an interesting glimpse into history. :)

  • Interesting record. Thumbs up!

  • Hi, can you tell me if this has been released on Cd ? or where I might get a copy of this record ? This is one of the most atmospheric things I've ever heard, thanks for posting.

    Sonia.

  • I got the record on ebay

  • Sounds like this is in stereo, however as far as I know the first stereo vinyl records started appearing around 1957?

  • The sounds were recorded in 1952 and 1953, but the record was not released until 1956.

  • very interesting lp.i collect rare and original lp s too

  • Fascinating......to hear a day that is older than I am!! best wishes

  • Nice posting Squadron Leader! Incidentally, I arrived in America, Dec 23, 1951 on the Queen Mary. It was one of the longest crossings due to foul weather, or so I've been told and not even a toddler at the time I wouldn't remember.

  • Thanks so much for sharing! I love things to do with ships! Favorited!
