  • I want to hear some epic choir swear words!

  • Hi again!

As you know i have EWSQL SO and SD2 and i am very happy with them. So now i need your real impressions about symph choirs because there is a great discount by Eastwest for 4 days (50%!!!). Is this instrument really good???? Because Human voices are really difficult to reproduce... I need your opinion.

Thanks for your Quick answer ;)

    Regards

  • @papillonmusical Yes! Go for it! It's a great program, and 50% is incredible. Yes, the human voice is difficult to reproduce, but if you layer it with other instruments (or even record your own voice with it) it really helps. :)

  • @Kachukeland Great! Thanks, i go for it now

  • @Kachukeland Ok thanks! I go for it right now. I chose the bundle with SC and "Voices of Apocalypse" ;)

  • fucking awesome mannn... I'm From Chile the problems is How much is that? where Can I get from here? ... also I saw that you can make a song with vocals? is that a plug-in? extension? please tell me....

  • @Bennmusicmaster follow the links in the video description, it should answer any questions for you

  • are you using a keystation?

  • @Rajonty yep, M-Audio keystation 88es

  • @Kachukeland what od you think about the feel of th keys? And do you find it inconvenient not having any knobs or sliders?

  • @Rajonty actually, there's a pitch bend, modulation, slider, octave buttons, and advanced functions button on the left side of the keyboard. I only use the pitch bend/mod wheel, so I don't feel too limited.

as for the feeling of the keys, they are not weighted. They are quite springy, and it can be a bit bothersome when trying to play with dynamics. But, of course, I can later edit the velocity of each note, so not too terrible.

It works quite well for what I need. Great controller board.

  • @Kachukeland thanks! i appreciate the feedback.

  • excuse me, are these programs or vsts???? and if these are can i use it with magix maker and reason?? :o do u no??

  • @angedailesnoires They are digital instruments that work through a DAW (I use Logic Pro.) So, vsts. But, they also work as a stand-alone program, just for playing. You can check the website for details on what DAWs are compatible.

  • You paid about $200 too much lmao.. I downloaded. it.. I'm not sure why people buy anything anymore.. It's nice stuff.. but way over priced.. you shouldn't have to be a millionaire to make music..

  • @Dangibsonfender well, I don't know... the have this new-ish device called an iLok, which protects against illegal downloading. I'm not the kind of guy who knows how to do stuff like that. Plus, if I'm having trouble with my software, I like to call the support line and have them fix it. If I have an illegal copy of it, I can't call in for support, lol

  • @Kachukeland True I feel ya man.. But they have the downloads that have cracks.. so.. no ilok... Feel ya on the tech support thing too.. but honestly, anyhting they can help you with, you can just find on youtube or google i'm sure.. I completely understand how you feel man. I'm super advanced into producing and downloading all that stuff and what not.. I really havent bought a program in 10 years lol...

  • @Dangibsonfender Also if you are trying to make money from your composisions, selling songs which have sounds you have not bought, can bring a lot of troubles. :p

  • @tashows Lol... do you believe everything you hear? haha. you just made my day.. Yea.. they can trace a wav format to know what program you used and see if you bought it or not lmao.. the funny thing is.. I don't use presets of any kind.. so If for some crazy reason someone took time to actually try and figure out if I didn't buy it..(which they can't and prob wouldn't try) They could never pin point what I used.. I could just say my friend let me borrow the program lmao..

  • @Dangibsonfender Yes, the whole subject is hypothetical, but I was not talking about cracked software (I agree with you on that). I am talking about using samples you didn't buy or get lisence to use. If your work draws attention and you make money out of it, then you should expect someone to knock your door. :p Samples are pretty easy to recognize. Then again I am not sure about how they would proove it, but I wouldn't get into that trouble. Also borrowing the software is most times forbidden.

  • @tashows very true, I recognize EWQL samples all the time! I always feel like a nerd for pointing it out. "Hey, that's a patch from my EWQLSO Gold!"

  • @tashows That's why its called being original.. making your own sound.. not using prepackaged sounds..

  • @Dangibsonfender well, that would require access to an orchestra, which most people don't have. We're not talking about loops or anything. We're talking about digital instrument software. There is nothing unoriginal about using digital instruments. Do you see the difference?

  • @Kachukeland Lol.. Have you ever used Ableton live 8? They by far have the best vst instruments built in. I really urge you to check it out.. and I said nothing about digital music being unoriginal. I said you can only be called unoriginal if you use presets or loops. talking about a question of copyright.

  • Respond to this video... I forgot to mention that all the new programs are royalty free instruments. which means the sounds are free.. you have to build your sounds and melodies.. Thanks for the un needed heads up rookie.. Ill start posting some of my videos soon and show you how to make beautiful beats for free..

  • @Dangibsonfender why encourage people to make better software! piracy only hinders advancement of the products YOU want. want to play a sweet mmo rpg for free? well what happens when no one pays for it anymore? do you think the devs have the money/desire to advance it?

its cool though... ignorance is your thing b>.>b

  • @anthraxsnax I don't play video games.. Ableton live 8 is already more than anyone will ever need.. and sorry.. but piracy could never hinder the advancement of music software.. like I said. I design all the sounds myself.. I don't use presets.. I build using instruments and adding effects.. so.. I'm pretty straight forever i guess..

  • Respond to this video... Also.. It's non-piracy that allows them to charge $200 dollars just for a pack of effects.. only morons buy it.. or rich people..

  • @Dangibsonfender I you want to sell your music then you have to be legit and buy the tools you use to compose it.

  • @JohnAlephMusic Do you have to buy the tools to compose music? or do you have to buy the premade loops? I'm pretty sure you can use any program if you didnt pay for it as long as you don't use presets..

  • @Dangibsonfender what do you mean "premade loops"? I believe there is not pro artist using premade loops. Also about the presets, it's innevidable to not use them and at least tweek them to make an original sound out of them. Avoiding using presets is like saying to a pianist, go and make a piano by yourself to use for selling music :) Presets are the electronic instruments for electronic music artists.

  • @JohnAlephMusic ...you must grow your own tree for the wood required to make your own piano. Make sure you harvest your own metal from the Earth. And good luck making those strings... lol, omg, that would be horrid.

But yeah, I think Mr. Dangibsonfender is a bit confused...

  • @Kachukeland hahahahahaa

  • @JohnAlephMusic LOL.. Rap music is full of producers using pre mande loops from various programs.. you don't know much about music do you? And no.. it's not like asking a pianist to build his own piano.. man.. you just don't know enough.. I was saying start from the ground up while building your instruments in a program.. I don't grab a preset and tweak it. I know everything about music.. so I start with the instrument and build up.. thus creating my own sound..

  • @Dangibsonfender HAHAHAHA!! Look at this guy! I simply cannot believe someone would write this!

Look, man, I don't know what you think you know about EWQLSO, but there are no pre-made loops. It's just a collection of instruments. They only difference is that you play it on a keyboard, not with an actual instrument.

Yes, a lot of musicians use pre-made loops and make money, and it's despicable. But EWQLSO doesn't do that. There is no option to "grab a preset and tweak it." Understand yet?

  • @Kachukeland Did I ever say I used EWQLSO in the first place? I think you guys are getting my conversation with someone else on a different topic confused.. I was talking about the price being ridiculous.. and then it progressed into talking about other programs and loops.. never once did I say EWQLSO had loops.. read up bra..

  • @Dangibsonfender oh, are you just one of those anti-digital-instrument guys? Well, that would explain your hateful words and superiority complex. Mr. "man... you just don'w know enough.." and "I know everything about music.." You've certainly put on quite a show, here. Thanks for the entertainment. ;)

  • @Kachukeland Are you even reading all the comments? I work in ableton live 8.. the best in digital music.. lol.. why would I hate digital instruments?

  • @Dangibsonfender WTF does RAP have to do with music?? And yeah, I can say I know a couple of things about music since I produce music. But let me stop here and just say that if you are one of those electronic music haters I won't proceed arguing with you. I've done that too many times and haters remain haters.

  • @JohnAlephMusic LOL? where are you guys getting this "hate digital instruments" from? I'm a producer also.. never said I hated digital music.. I'm pretty sure u guys are just trolling now.. I'd actually like to share and work on music with some people if you're interested...

  • @Dangibsonfender Well, if you don't hate digital intruments then you must be pointing out your opinion the wrong way, because from what you said before that's what we understood. Even if you said you use ableton. You come here bragging about your huge knowledge on music making us feel inferior and still I'm not able to understand what are you talking about.

  • @JohnAlephMusic disregard all the other posts except for the first one. My original post was just about how he paid too much... then we got off track on something else.. tell you the truth, I just started trolling.. seems it worked though.. lol have a great day..

  • @Dangibsonfender ok then I'll go ahead and comment on that.... Maybe for him is not too much :)

  • @Dangibsonfender well, using the old I-was-just-trolling excuse, eh? ;)

  • @Dangibsonfender at this point, I'm just entertained by your insults. Re-reading your comments, here's a collection of insulting quotes:

"do you believe everything you hear? haha. you just made my day.. "

"Thanks for the un needed heads up rookie.. "

"only morons buy it.. or rich people.."

"you don't know much about music do you?"

"man.. you just don't know enough.."

This is why we're entertained. Plus, most of your posts involve a few compliments to yourself. That's a funny combination.

  • @Kachukeland Cant help it.. lol..

  • What is the difference between EWQL Symphonic Orchestra Gold and Silver?

  • @DKAkuYaenko Silver has all the basic instruments. Gold has many more articulations.

  • @DKAkuYaenko just a reason to charge more money... check out ableton live 8

  • whoaw....this one is on my wishlist for years now. Very well played. If you ever know about such sale again...please let us know.

  • hey man where did you find the sale? did you get it from their site "Sound Sample or from some random site?

  • @Airek2007 I got it from soundsonline. They frequently have sales, and i caught a good one, lol. Just keep an eye out, there's always a sale of some sort

  • so what did u play (cords) at 00:56 - 1:05

  • @casper11jj It's just an F minor chord, really.

  • 0:56 Lyrics: "Dire fibe, Dire fiba, Donatelo Iratina" XD XD XD

  • Very Impressive! both the software, aswell as your playing! I have been contemplating purchasing this software for a while now. On a scale of 1 to Danny Elfman, how awesome would you rate this VSTi ?

  • @DanielCoryMusic Lol a scale of 1 to Danny Elfman, that's great! I'd say this product rates an 7 out of 10, but If I had the vota expansion ($80) it would jump up to a 8 or 9. The technology simply has room for improvement, but for what's possible today, It's great!

  • Ha-ha, awesome and funny shit!

  • Danny Elfmaaaan!!!! XD.....

  • I would buy it for the sole purpose of having the choir sing dirty stuff hee hee

  • @crazyjorge2111 lol, that was the first thing i did... it doesn't get old either, haha

  • how much ram does it need to run how much do you use on your comp

  • @CAVERN1234 64 bit is not yet available for mac users, so I'm running it at 32 bit (meaning it only utilizes 4 GB of my ram out of my 8 GB) Symphonic Choirs runs smoothly by itself, but when I have a full orchestra with SC it's too much for my CPU. So, i good solution is to do the choirs in a separate project, then bounce it to the main project in mp3 format. Fixes that issue

  • @Kachukeland Hey thanks for you reply my friends got ewql choirs and i was thinking about buying it

trouble is my pc has only 3GB OF RAM im running windows xp 32 bit and was wondering what difference running 64 bit would be with choirs thanks for any help you can give me

  • @CAVERN1234 32 bit means the program will only use up to 4 GB of your computer's RAM. 64 bit means the program will use more than 4 GB of your computer's RAM (I'm not sure what the limit of 64 bit is) If your computer only has 3GB of RAM, then 32 bit is fine for you, i suppose

  • @Kachukeland Hey Alex thanks for taking the time to reply i think the best way to go would be to increase the ram thanks once again for your help

  • how much ram does it need to run

  • Whoa, you should make epic songs.

  • this is the coolest thing I have ever seen along with the Orchestra

  • I bought a decent electric guitar for 100 € today. It's seems this is a good week for musicians (or wannabe musicians in my case).

  • I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I WANT IT!!!! GAAAAHHH

    sry... yay

  • Congratulations for your version of "ET" on the other video, I'm a fan of John Williams and especially this movie ... And I laughed a lot;)

I also look forward to my "Gold" because I also took the offrre 60%. I have an iMac with Logic 9 and a keyboard Studiologic SL-990-xp.

But I also ordered "STORMDRUM 2" because I wanted cinematic percussion. What you use for percussion and effects?

    Regards

  • @papillonmusical I've been looking at Stormdrum, i think I'm going to get that next (gotta save up, though, these are expensive) Right now, I'm only using EWQLSO Gold for percussion, which is limited.

  • man that's awesome!

  • Cool! What do you do to render your videos? Program anyways?!

  • @Hokfandl i record using my iSight and iMovie, then for effects, i use Final Cut Pro

  • that's sick!
