After those "new" rules it was only car's like Ferrari 330 P4, Jaguar XJ13 in the Championships... Or it had been in the races to many years. I'm not sure but i think that's what happened! :( If i'm wrong and someone knows, please say the correct reason!

Still off what Helms car ran on the street 60-130, wonder what the 100-150 of that run was.

Right now I am the proud owner of a 2006 F-150 with 56,000 miles and it has not given me a single problem except for battery and brake pads replacement. @cody227 so put a 1000hp in one of the others then ;-) they would probably last a couple passes and blow up. Easy to get 1000hp out of a w16 quad turbo that weighs over 4200lbs but not so easy getting a reliable 1000hp from a light weight small block v8. Even easier to be a YouTube hero and play what if, or if only - the hallmarks of a loser. Sure there are plenty of cars that could beat it but It was a great car that performed well, period.
No problem at all for the Ford in a roll on, but I would like to see the Porsche have a go from standing start...aka proper drag race. the porsche was awesome against the GTR I think it would stand a chance here too. 2 awesome cars.

Why Supras haven't been near the top of anything but the 1/4 on huge slicks and mile trap would be a giant lack of traction :} I'm really curious as to what Neras 60-130,100-150 time was on their 9.0 run. I just read that black R package G-TT in moscow ran a 0-300 time in the mid 16s, .6 iirc. Isn't that a bit faster than even the Alpha 12 runs?

@iPROFITDON ams12 (920awhp) 0-100- 3.2sec 0-200- 7.6sec 0-300 18sec.. and G-TT (1050rwhp) 0-100- 4.7sec 0-200-. 8.6sec and 0-300- 16.6sec.. VERY good for a rwd witch the driver had fucked up and e-gear.. imagine 6speed manual and AWD fixed =))))) as you clearly can see in the other vid when they race with 1200awhp and 1200rwhp set up you can see the G-TT hooks up and is starting to leave the ams12 but he loses traction and falls back... and imagine what the 0-300 would be if it had 1500awhp

@iPROFITDON for me to be close AT ALL to these beast is damn fucking BAD ASS!! i have 700rwhp per ton while the G-TT has over 1000rwhp per ton hehe insane.. but after 160-170mph they would piss all over me but thats where the turbo comes in play=)) only thing i did was to tuck my mirror in and starp the front and lowering is one of the best thing to do on a bike but it takes long time to prepp it for that... and when i did 60-130mph @ 3.01sec it wasn`t even strapped in the front..

I acknowledged that the Ford GT beat the 911, but the way you put your comment, you ain't taking into consideration that the Porsche only has a 3.6 6 cylinder engine and 250 HP less in a less slippery shape.

@rvind92g first of all the carrera GT can´t be turbo- or supercharged due to its compression ratio. and in case of this race it´s still impressive how the Ford GT murdered the Porsche considering the Porsche can put all its power to the ground immediately unlike the Ford GT, weighs less AND got a DUAL CLUTCH SEMI AUTOMATIC transmission where the Ford GT has a simple MANUAL TRANSMISSION WITH CLUTCH. not to mention the aerodynamics are absolutely equal

@prosurfer2222 For your information, Honda assembles the Civic in the Ontario, Canada plant and the Accord in the El Salto plant in Mexico. Toyota builds the Tacoma in Tijuana, Mexico. Point is, in this day and age, all manufacterers have assembly plants all over the world and it doesn´t mean a damn thing in terms of reliability or whether the car is labeled as domestic or import. At the end of the day, a Honda is Japanese and a Ford is American.

@prosurfer2222 I´ve owned two FORD vehicles that exceeded the 200K mile mark, one a 1991 Crown Victoria which I sold when it had 269,000 miles on the odometer and was running flawlessly, and a 1992 Mustang 5.0 which ran damn good at 205,000 when I sold it. Right now I am the proud owner of a 2006 F-150 with 56,000 miles and it has not given me a single problem except for battery and brake pads replacement. That argument that Hondas are more reliable is getting old. WAKE up to the new domestics.

When they lose a race the driver caused the defeat, because of bad shifting or reaction, bad tyres and not to forget they will suddenly remember the usually ignored horsepower, :))))

Most of the European engines are tapped out. Japanese engines even more so.
If you follow what is going on.... lately you will see that a American V8 can not
be touched and is "stone reliable". The tuner cars will not become collectors.
They will just blow up early and be in the junk yards. I am surprised how many
people talk on such a superfical data comparing level. Check out Nelson Racing
the new SSC Aero, the ford copied engine Konessegg (sp) and the German
tracks.......

GT40 built in England
Broadley, Lunn and Wyer began working on the new car at Lola Factory in Bromley. At the end of 1963 the team moved to Slough, England near Heathrow airport. Ford established a new subsidiary under the direction of Wyer, Ford Advanced Vehicles Ltd to manage the project.
The first chassis built by Abbey Panels of Coventry was delivered on March 16, 1963. The first "Ford GT" the GT/101 was unveiled in England on April 1 and soon after exhibited in New York.

@cody227 so put a 1000hp in one of the others then ;-) they would probably last a couple passes and blow up. Easy to get 1000hp out of a w16 quad turbo that weighs over 4200lbs but not so easy getting a reliable 1000hp from a light weight small block v8. Even easier to be a YouTube hero and play what if, or if only - the hallmarks of a loser. Sure there are plenty of cars that could beat it but It was a great car that performed well, period.
