Creepers (same with TNT) only damage the blocks around them (and deal damage to mobs or players around them) when they're not in water. If they explode while in water, they will deal damage to mobs and players around them as if they really blew up, but they don't damage the blocks around them.

Also, if you create a floor of water, with a flow to the trap, the squid will appear. That way you can also get ink. One of the things was to make diffrent colored wool. Thats how you would get the ink sacks. When I get my videos uploaded, I'll let you know.

Hey Paul. I would make the water tunnel 3 high, instead of 2 (like I did with mine). That way the enderman would die like the others, instead of teleporting outside the trap (they only teleport out if they see you, or if they can't get past an opstical).

not sure if ya figured out the mob killer but i would lower the drainage for the loot by one block so the mobs die and the loot falls into the lower trough of water and flows out to you. Ie remove the floor 3 blocks in under the sign and let the water flow down there
