Here is just one of the things that is extremely dangerous that he proposes: Give states the right to choose the state's public school curriculum. In my state the religious fundamentalists would jump on this to force intelligent design into the science class room. Currently the federal court system defends the children from this kind of ignorance. Under Paul, my state is fucked.

Thanks for that book suggestion - I might have read that a few years back, but am not sure, so will check my books. I think our current policy of buidling military bases all over the globe are what isolate us more than a Constitutional foreign policy would - we weren't supposed to have standing armies and we certainly weren't supposed to be occupying other nations with military bases and troops for decades. That only breeds comtempt - and it's also incredibly wrong.

I don't know who is more "moral" that is hard to tell and depends upon your view of morals. Ron Paul speaks out so boldly against the war partly because he has nothing to lose, he's always been at the bottom of the polls. And then, when asked specifics about Education and Abortion he becomes evasive. Edwards can be bold to because he only gains from it where he stands in the polls. Hillary is at the top and plays it much more cautiously because she's talking to those swing voters.

I know you wrote this months ago, but just wanted to let you know that at the time this call/video was made, prior to the primaries, Ron Paul had received more donations from the military than all other candidates combined (repub and dem) - four days after becoming president, Obama authorized air strikes that killed 3 kids over in the Middle East and some adults - Ron Paul never would have authorized that. When the dominant state in the intl system fails to stop the threat in the infancy when it could, a far worse war happens. My problem with Ron Paul is that he isn't living in the 21st century. He thinks an isolationist policy will still protect us and thats simply naive.

I think our current policy of buidling military bases all over the globe are what isolate us more than a Constitutional foreign policy would - we weren't supposed to have standing armies and we certainly weren't supposed to be occupying other nations with military bases and troops for decades. I am a "hardcore" dem and i support ron pual. I am fed up with the demicrates not being able to do anything. The republians and there same old lines. We need change.... We need healing.... We need a Doctor.

If you are a "hardcore dem" you can't like Ron Paul's views on the Dept. of Education, abortion, etc. Ron Paul is dead on about our foreign policy and the Iraq occupation, but he is a Libertarian at heart and he is against government in general.

The Education idea buring that down to the state level most of the work is done there anyway, that and department of aguculture. I don't like him for abortion and GAY rights. However hes a good canidate becuase foreigen policy stuff. The most important issue. As for the other thing..... Doctors Heal want we need healing. It as slong it doesnt have to make sences

Foreign policy is important, but it's only one issue. So, where Foreign Policy is concerned, maybe Hillary or Obama will ask Ron Paul to be Secretary of State.

Not happening.. I wish but not happen. And I don't like Hillary. Her gaming allow make me not want to vote for her. Plus she gave the president more power for dealing with Iran. Although I like her for health care being the first and all. But Edwards is better on the front and I like him for his Iran/Iraq plan. So he might have my vote. But yes Ron Paul should be the GOP nominee.

Edwards says good things that I agree with, but I'm not sure of his ability as a leader. I think Hillary can run things, though, I do agree with you about the Iran thing. Have you read "It takes a villiage"? I think that is Hillary at her core, under all the political calculations, which is good. If she reverts to her core values after being elected, that along with her leadership qualities would be a great combination. I do worry that she's too beholding to her big financial backers tho.

That would be like a 2 year old turning down candy. I do judge politions on that front but I more look at it like this. Which polition is more moral the the rest? Right now i would have to say Ron Pual and Edwards. But your right he might now have the guts to lead. Then again maybe we need a "weak" leader to give us to power.

I don't know who is more "moral" that is hard to tell and depends upon your view of morals. Ron Paul speaks out so boldly against the war partly because he has nothing to lose, he's always been at the bottom of the polls. And then, when asked specifics about Education and Abortion he becomes evasive. Edwards can be bold to because he only gains from it where he stands in the polls. Hillary is at the top and plays it much more cautiously because she's talking to those swing voters.

These are not contributions by military personnel. They are contributions by military employees. The Paulettes are attempting to twist it into military support which it is not.

Political preference may be "Opinion" but whether or not a person's opinion is correct is another story. Some people base their opinions on anything BUT facts. I'm not saying that this is the case with Ron Paul, but in response to political preference not being right or wrong because they're based upon opinion, that's simply not true. Some opinions are based upon greed, some religious dogma, some ignorance, some research... the quality of an opinion varies.

sine - that was a TV Show, not reality. To look like someone whose role requires him to look dumb does not make that person dumb. Try to separate fact from fiction. Same with Ron Paul.

The US political system is seriously F**KED UP. The politicians consistently F**K OVER their own people, and all us non Americans with their F**KED UP
foreign policies, greed and cravings for world domination.
My faith lies now with Ron Paul and those who value freedom and honesty. Make America the proud and respected nation it once was!
Pity it will never happen, as corruption is so rife.
