I soaked mine in Everclear for 10 minutes before starting. It totally numbed the pain.

I was doing a knife drill with my daughter once, using a Chinese Kabar clone that I had ground the edge off of. apparently it wasn't dull enough because I got stuck in the arm and had a good 1" gash.

I made her stitch me up. I used the suture kit that comes with the Army Field surgical kit.

I think she hates me for it, but it was a good experience for her, even though she probably does not understand it.

yeeeeow jesus! SHE'S DOING IT WITH A MULTI TOOL. I lost the ability to play guitar while making a bow a month or two back but hell, I wasn't playing much anyways.

I make a point to let my better half know that what I'm doing is dangerous and needs 100% concentration. I've had similar happenings when I broke eye contact with my project to reply to random banter.
