Many senators do not have time to do personal research on any subject, I would bet you 1000s of dollars that Obama didn't read it either, but based his opinions off of the same briefing. He just got lucky in picking one way or another. Now that we are looking with hindsight we "believe" that Obama had better judgment, but it could have been a fluke.

Sorry, because my friends' lives are on the line in Iraq, I expect the Senators to do their job. Obama was not in the Senate, he was running for a seat in 2002, so he would not have had access to it like Clinton and McCain did. His judgement was not mere luck, it shows that he is willing to put OUR interests in front of his own job security. That is why I support him, he is a true patriot. McCain and Clinton did what was easy and supported the war. Fuck them both.

May be if the soldiers also had the option not go to war then it wld have been fair game,but then they will be charged with treason and accused of being unpatriotic.But then a Senator has the option not to read intelligence before declaring war,they shld be charged for treason and for being unpatriotic.They are so passionate abt their country that the cldnt be bothered double checking evidence before sending citizens to go and die.

Watch what Obama said in 2002. He predicted the outcome we have today. It was no fluke. He educated himself. I'm agreeing with bryanamburgey on this one. He has friends with their lives on the line, I have sons. It was every Senator's job to educate thmeselves before they risked American lives.

Not only should legislators read these intelligence reports they should do a little independent homework and get some background. They can't make sound decisions based on briefings alone - they need to read some histories of Iraq, Iran, where-ever, to cast an intelligent informed vote. And so should all Americans before they support or volunteer to enforce US policies abroad via the military.

Dennis Kucinich Read it and hes not trying to run for president, Hillary never grew-up and got pass the "Prom Queen" stage of life. She wants glory at any cost, not whats best for this Nation. She has no way to get the nomination, so why is she still running.
