@Axxorz that way you never get to know what you're doing. i completely disagree! if you have a cheap guitar around, try out as much as you can. solder in the toggle the other way, change pickups, put on a new jack, put in a push-pull, so you learn how to fix it if something is broken! you cant really mess up something that couldnt be repared later if you dont start messing with the wood! if needed, buy a used squier bullet, just for soldering practice! you get them for 40$, its worth it!

James uses Diezel VH4's when he's in the tuning room. He also uses it live with a triaxis preamp in the fx loop (probably in series). He also uses a single triaxis for his cleans now (used to use a JC-120) and a Boss chorus<<< Get that for metallica cleans!!! Kirk uses Randall amps with the triaxis also, and he uses Mesa Dual Rectifiers for his cleans. He also puts a tube screamer in there for solo boosts. JC-120 is the best for Metallica cleans, with a boss chorus and/or flange. Happy Rocking..

easy m8 get a marshall stack for 500 pounds buy a squier bullett strat and change the pickups 2 emg 81 or 85 pickups and there you have it probably 700 pounds at most and still enough cash left to buy a good multi effects pedal this is what i did when i first started playing guitar over 10 years back and it worked but when you do get enough cash get a marshall valve stack or mesa boogie rectifier and a gibson or esp les paul and a decent pedal rack then your ready to kick ass

thats ok man i had to gig with a squier strat with emgs in it but i got a lot of criticism from my band so in the end i had to get a les paul and just switched the pickups into that my advice about amps is dont buy the marshall mg series because they r made in india so i would avoid them the avt series is a really good amp for 200 pounds 50watts and its made in milton keynes england or if you have a lot of money get a jcm stack for 900 pounds they are as good as mesa boogie amps
