  • works great (4.3E)

  • Dose it work for 4.1

  • Dose this work for 4.1 and can someone tell me how to do this it's sooooooo hard to read !!!!!!!

  • @ChimichangaBOMBZ A) Turn the quality up. B) IF that doesn't work, get glasses. C) if you still can't read it, get off the internet.

  • everything worked until the GCMM thing. I tried using a datel action replay memory card and when that didn't work I used a MadCatz memory card and neither worked, I followed the directions and selected the US.GCI file and then at the bottom of the screen it said MemCard Error:Card Mount - - 3 no card. Can you please help me with this that is the only step in the whole thing that didn't work, this is the best tutorial I could find!

  • @saulw103 I too had this problem while dealing with it. Just keep trying and it SHOULD work eventually. Make sure that the Memory card and the slot are clear of dust and other shit.

  • The action replay worked for 4 days now it just gives me a green screen help

  • @12121212121212121236 Have you recently updated it (Or Almost updated: Like if you started updating by accident then unplugged the wii before it finished)?

  • @theblackwingedsoul I found out what happened my little bro did the force update and i fixed it.

  • Wait do I need an unofficial gamecube memory card, please answer

  • I wonder what u mean about a 3rd party memory card? doesnt a normal Gamecube memory card work please answer :)

  • @Molzar1 unofficial memory card that means not made by nintendo LOL

  • WTF i know it works but mine just goes to the game please help

  • @TheZumiezNation Follow the steps again from A to Z. I believe I had that problem once before when I had a near miss with an update in an attempt to play Black Ops

  • does it work with a mad catz memory card, plz reply

  • @TheZumiezNation As long as it is not an official nintendo Gamecube memory card, it SHOULD work. I hope it does, this app is alot of fun

  • Thanks so much this is the only tutorial that would work for me :D

  • OMFG YOU SOB!!!!! YOU ARE THE MAN, IT WORKS LIKE WHAT YOU SAID IN YOUR VIDEO, I WAS USING A SDHC CARD AND IT DIDNT WORK, I ALMOST GAVE UP BUT THEN I TRYED A REG SD CARD NOT SDHC IT WORKS!!!!!NOW I CAN CHEAT LOL, OH I HAVE A WII 4.3 SO IT WORKS, OH AND BLACKWINGEDSOUL ADD NO SDHC SUPPORT MUST USE A REG SD CARD TO WORK, THANKS BRO

  • @kclite Lol, Glad I could help. My laptop is currently dead and this thing is slow as is but Ill make sure to add an annotation when I get it back.

  • Awesome thanks for this. Got it working great! Was very helpful. I just have one question. I like to put in custom AR codes, but whenever I restart my wii they don't save. Is that normal?

  • @iDwkSync That doesn't sound right. I put in the Phazon Beam Anywhere code for Metroid Prime 1 and it saved right.

  • @theblackwingedsoul

Sorry for the late reply. Someone told me that it might be a memory card problem. So I'm planing to test it out. Just wondering Blackwinged what memory card are you using? I'm thinking it might be because I have a game on the memory card I am saving.

  • @iDwkSync Memory card's shouldn't be a problem with saving codes seeing as it's writing the codes to the App itself. The 3rd party memory card is only needed for copying games onto it with GCMM. I use the Action replay memory card myself for that thing but again, I doubt whoever said that knew what they were doing and or saying.

  • woohoo thanks dude i'd been fiddling with DShacker's files for like the past week

  • My AR loader claims that it is unable to find/load my FAT and DOL files. some help would be greatly appreciated

  • @Sinkingreality For future refrence, FAT is the format of your SD that is required or this wont work. Second, make sure AR114.dol is in the ROOT of your SD card along with the .wad file from the package.

  • I can't read anything in the red text...It is too blurry....and my eyesight is good. =/

  • @freezingblizzard If you give me a bit, I'll be more then happy to copy all the text into .txt file that way you can increase the font size.

  • @TepigSnivyOshawatt a) There is a key on the left of your keybored that says "Caps lock" on it. Hit it again before responding. B) This will NOT work with any backups. If you don't own any original NGC disks, your SOL. Otherwise I have no idea.

  • My screen is cracked and I can't see the bottom of GCMM under where it says "Choose your Mode". The box on the left is empty. Am I doing something wrong or is there something under the Choose your Mode I'm supposed to see?

  • Im sorry, no dx2 CIOS, but d2x CIOS installation.

  • @MelancholyJoker19 English, please.

  • @theblackwingedsoul In ur video it says to us IOS249, but the website says to use d2x CIOS. So do i use IOS249 or will the dx2 CIOS work?

  • @MelancholyJoker19 This is the first I've heard of whatever dx2 CIOS is but follow the instructions in the video exactly. I used both guides and got this to work just fine.

  • @theblackwingedsoul Well, i got it to work so im kool.

  • How come the website for IOS249 says to use dx2 CIOS?

  • i try to do the ar loader and it says something about FAT and cant fine .dol

  • Once i start the wad manager and select either IOS249 or IOS250 my wii controller shuts off and i cant do anything. Is it because i am running 4.3u? Or did I just do something wrong?

  • @MrDoubleSpring You've done something wrong seeing as I did this on a 4.3u Wii. What was done wrong I do not know.

  • @theblackwingedsoul Do you have to download both IOS236 and IOS249 from your links? Also my wii only freezes when i pick IOS249 IOS250 and IOS254 at the wad manager.

  • @MrDoubleSpring You must follow EVERY instruction in this video to letter, which includes doing both the IOS36 and IOS249 guides

  • @theblackwingedsoul I got it to load but whenever i try to start the game the screen turns black? Any reasons why?

  • @MrDoubleSpring I have no idea, sorry. I know Geist has errors whenever I try to start it with the AR app, you also need to have the disk in drive before you start the app. Also, this will NOT WORK with burned game disk. Otherwise, Idk.

  • is it possible to put codes from the computer?

  • @wilfre2097 Unfortunetly no. You have to type them in using a Gamecube Controller. But it's a small price to pay for free AR for gamecube games.

  • @theblackwingedsoul true but the codes that are long are shit ton of trouble to put in when the curser flys around the screen unless you use d-pad but even though its still a pain for long codes. plus i had to pay 6 bucks but its better then paying 40 bucks for it on ebay (6 buck memory card 3rd party)

  • @wilfre2097 I understand the trouble. I had to enter codes for Baten Kaitos origins from Scratch x.x I use the Dpad and it takes some getting used to but yea, better then paying $40 for it seeing as I believe they discontinued it and replaced it with one you couldn't add codes in.

  • I dont see wad manager in the homebrew list

  • @wilfre2097 nvm i got it

  • very hard to read

  • @wilfre2097 Set it to 720p. looks fine.

  • Will this cause any damage to the memory card?

  • @ardalan998 If it's possible, No one I asked in the process of getting this to work ever heard of it. Simply, Not a chance in a hell it will damage it.

  • where can u find a 3rd party memory card

  • @Superhyperness1 I'd check the website for Action Replay (Codejunkies -dot- com) or do a google search for 3rd party gamecube memory cards.

  • it got on my wii, but when i click to launch my backup with codes on it just turns off my wii.... any thoughts?

  • sooo any kind of memory card execpt offical memory card

  • @Superhyperness1 Yes, all third party memory cards should work. Idk for sure tho All I have is the AR card.

  • @theblackwingedsoul all right cool

  • Does this work on 4.1?

  • @doublek642 It work's on 4.3 U So I would take a guess and say it does.

  • I love you right now. Thank you soooooooo much! :D

  • for wat versions does this work for

  • @RaMiRezZ5 All versions, to my understanding.

  • I will no longer respond to comment's in all caps "LIKE THIS!!!!!11!!11!". I respond try to respond to every comment that needs help, shouting =/= necessary to get my attention.

  • Comment removed

  • @RaMiRezZ5 First of all dude, find the key labeled "caps lock" and hit it again and undeeded amount of Exclamation points, I would've responded eitherway. I had that problem after just barely dodging a update, which unmodded the part of the wii this uses. Just repeat ALL the steps given to you in this video and it SHOULD fix it.

  • Oh i also found a flaw in this when you try to play a wii game the system goes thru an update and removes this hack. so i'm guessing that you have to launch your wii game thru gecko os or something other then the disc channel

  • so..what now?

  • @cheateriscomment23 I don't know really. I never had to downgrade (I'm running 4.3 atm) so I can't really help. All I can say is redo the steps. Hope it works.

  • ps b4 you ask no it was not an iso gc disk it was an original man-made gc disk. so yeah..

  • uhm...as soon as i got to the part where i launched the ar...it showed a green screen then just went to my gc game..wth!

  • @cheateriscomment23 Weird. I know I had that problem recently when I nearly updated by Wii trying to playing Metroid Other M. I fixed by repeating the steps in my video. Have you accidentally started an update recently? (Example: The updating screen and loading bar pop up but you manage to unplug it before it finishes) and you mean man made disk as in you bought it during the system's lifetime from a store?

  • @theblackwingedsoul i once had wii firmware 4.2, then 4.3, then i figured a way to downgrade to 4.1 wii firmware. and yes thats what i meant by man-made disk.

  • @cheateriscomment23 well this hack works on my wii and im running the most recent upgrade so it cant be that so which means you wouldnt have to worry about downgrading maybe you didnt completely do the hack and when you try to run the ac app it just loads the game so you might have to install ios 236 agian run cios and do those steps again try the wad then see if the app works

  • yay thank you so much just one thing in your package the wad manager doesnt work becuase you do not have it named right so you have to go to apps/wad manager/boot.dol you have the boot.dol named wad manager

  • @pickels123456789 I see..Thanks for letting me know :D.

  • This really does not work on gcn official memory cards? Because it's the only one I have available

  • @sydkreator I am pretty sure it does not. You can feel free to try but I cannot guarantee it will work with one.

  • Thank u!!!I have looked everywhere and now it works!!!thankz!ill help u get more views!!!thanks

  • @Luxrio21 Thank you!. I'm very glad this has helped :D

  • Just an addendum for those who have to use IOS250: If you get an error message saying something like "ret = -1" then do this: Create a "wad" folder on your SD card's root. Then move the WiiGator wad file into that folder. Using IOS250 went off without a hitch for me when I did that.

  • Awesome, thanks man. Yeah, I don't know what happened. I even re-downloaded just in case I'd managed to lose them somehow. It's all good, though.

  • Uh, problem: I downloaded your .zip package from Mediafire, but it only contains the GCSAVES folder and the 2 files to be put in the SD card root. It does NOT have the other 3 folders: ARBooter114, gcmm, or Wad manager. (I do have ARBooter114 from another source but not the other two.) How do I get them? I followed your instructions to the letter too, so far as I can determine.

  • @TheRewster WTF. I know I put them in...whatever. Ill get to that right now and personally the pm the URL to you

  • @ZeldaL3g3nds776 If Im reading your comment correctly, your on the menu that tells you to select the wad to install, Install RVL-cmios-v4_WiiGator_GCBL_V0.2.Wad. After that you should be all set to run AR from the homebrew channel.

  • Nice job :)

  • @DsHacker14 Thanks :D
