Believe it or not i actually met my russian wife on a chat, and at first i tought "ok here we go again". But then after a couple of months of chating and telephone calls i realised she was legit. Because she never once asked me for money. Now we have been living together for the last 3 years. So not all "love" storys on the net are scams. But the first hint of fraud is when these "women" asks you to send them money.

Same thing happened to me. Within 3 e-mails she had quit her job and flown from Yekaterinberg to Moscow, but incredibly she didn't have the $900 dollars to get to America, and I was to supply it. I'm thankful I had enough sense to not send the money.

If a woman tells you she needs $750 for a plain ticket to come see you, just do what I do and tell her oh that's expensive, fortunatly I have a friend who is a travel agent and he can book you a much better price flight, I will just need all your information and then I can book the ticket for you! If they actually give you the info and it checks out then book a refundable ticket in case they don't use it.

I recently got an email from this supposed Russian woman named Oksana Soutjagina. Included were photos of this really beautiful blonde woman with the physique of a supermodel. I conducted a background check by googling her name because I was really suspicious, and it turned out to be a really aweful scam. The site I went to also claims that she has no home phone number. Thankfully, I didn't send her any money. I don't even have $990, which is how much she said she needed for her trip to America.
