Oddly enough it was recognizing that the Truth is more important than whether I was a Christian, Jew, Muslim, or Atheist that gave me the intellectual honesty that led me from Christianity to Judaism to Atheism. If my honest search for truth is what will condemn me to eternal torment, then a war is what your god can have. Maybe God does exist and the test is having the courage to stand up to Him.

I always thought the Christian message was weak and plain non-relevant; I didn't care enough to be offended. However, when we start talking about our true nature and submitting to Christ that's when things can get offensive and misinterpreted as attacks. Good to hear from you.

People can talk to me and have done for a few years now about submitting to christ and our 'true nature' (the way they put it) and I never get offended at the message of that. I may not take to kindly to the christian(any body for that matter) who says to me, that I am a chicken lightweight, whining, heartless, evil, murderous, lying, deceiving, alcoholic, drug addicted, poor excuse of a human being, bad father etc. sure, but not at what the bible says. For me its just an old set of books.

Thanks buddy, but so many years so much work. Being here on youtube and yahoo answers helps me get over somewhat in a weird way. Its hard when you sell out for Jesus, you end up setting yourself apart from real people. decades of that will take it out of a person. :)

Just look at the apostles. Philip was stoned to death. Peter and Andrew were crucified. Paul and Matthew were beheaded. Thomas was speared to death. James was clubbed to death. And John was abandoned on the isle of Patmos. People did not welcome the message they preached. It's not any different today.

Sometimes we need to show people the ten commandments and allow their conscience to convict them. If it offends them, then that's too bad. We are motivated by love and concern.

The bible makes the following three propositions, all of which cannot be true:

1. God loves each person in such a way that He desires each person's salvation.

2. Whomever God desires to be saved will be saved.

3. Some are not saved, and remain separated from God forever.

You will deny proposition 1; however, 1 has far more biblical support than does 3. Tell me how many times hell is mentioned in the bible where it isn't translated from a word that means grave.

Christians are ONLY the people who are described in 1 and 2 John. No one else - no matter what they may call themselves. No matter if they think Jesus is a prophet, either. ANYone who believes and/or teaches contrary to 1 and 2 John is NOT a Christian.

How am I in eternal danger ? I have accepted Jesus Christ as my personal lord and savior. Therefore I am a Christian . Jesus came to save ALL mankind and I believe he did. Everybody will be saved.....Universal salvation.

Paul clearly says that we *accept* the gospel. Why is this a concern? Does it sound too Arminian?
