  • I just picked up a PT1911 in stainless, haven't had a chance to shoot it yet but it seems really well put together and I've heard plenty of great things about them.

  • @mrwhite4 I've read several times that the PT-1911 is the best 1911 deal on the market, and I think it might be. The only thing I would change is to install shorter safety levers. I have two PT-1011s, and I converted one to 460 Rowland. It has an EFK spring type guide rod. It's a real shooter, and I intend to do a video on it.

  • @LowKeyLanding Yeah, alot of the criticism on these has to do with Taurus using MIM parts on certain parts in the gun to keep costs down but what sold me on mine is the forged steel frame and slide, and the price was right :). Did get a chance to shoot mine today and so far all I'd change are the sights, I'm not a fan of the "straight 8" sights mine came with so far..., my "group" was kinda a straight up and down line but I was strapped for time and only shoot off 3 mags worth of ammo.

  • Taurus makes a pretty good product. AND that seems like a pretty good looking 1911, friend.

  • Thanks, I've never had a bad experience with a Taurus product. The dealer I bought this from said it was the best deal in a 1911.
