it does have a barrel a gun fires a projectile and has rifleing that creates spin to stabilize the round. th eat4 does not. if you ever cut the split rubbe off the front you would know whats in it. the tube could sustain the charge to launch it out to the target. im not tlaking about somehting i read but the time i had firing this round both on training ranges all over the world on military bases and in real world use in several wartime deployments. the training round fire a 9mm tracer
